Is it OK to use the same Barcodes from a Suspended Amazon Account
 

Hi Guys,

I've got 100,000 barcodes I used on my old suspended Amazon Account. Would they be ok to use on my new Amazon account. The products are completely different. I didn't know if it would link the barcodes and cause me problems?

Probably would link am guessing but as am not a amazon expert your best to ask someone on the forums with more knowledge

@OP, is your old account the ONLY one using these barcodes? i.e. they are owned by your old account?

I own the barcodes. A few of them are being used where other sellers started selling the same products when I had mine for sale. All of the items were unbranded so I just attached my Barcodes to each product. I was just not going to use the ones which are still being used by other sellers.

Were you listed 100,000 products on amazon with your suspended account????

I didn't have all 100,000 on there at the same time, but over the lfetime of the account.

Did you tried to search by one of your old UPC on Amazon? Is it still show you your old products?

Good point Tony - make sure the ties dont exist with your old account

What's the reason for resuing the barcodes?

Ease of listing or cost to replace the barcode

Some are showing, some aren't.

Ease of use really. My GS1 Account only gives me 100,000 barcodes. I think I'll look into buying some more to be on the safe side.

Doesnt hurt to play ultrasafe with Amazon - either that or experiment with few listings.

phew.... my gut feeling is to avoid hurting a good working account. So yeah, do get more barcodes.
