picture for play.com

Could I ask you a quick question.

How would you send a URL link for a item, when you do not have a website.

I am selling on play.com and I am listing new item, but they need URL link for item.

I hope I have explained it OK

If the website isn't yours, why not get the picture and post it up? Dangerous sticking in a URL for a site that isnt yours. Just get the picture...not hard to do if you think about it.

Or...right click the photo and choose properties to see the link - one way of getting the url.

Hi,

I think I have not explained this correctly.

I am listing a new product on play.com, all my other products where already listed before so never needed to do anything. Now I would like to add new product, so I contacted my account manger who gave me a form to fill in for the new product. The picture bit it asks for image URL. I was thinking if I store picture in photobucket and give URL for that....not sure

Can anyone help

Thanks

Would it not be possible to ask your account manager about this?

Are they wanting evidence that you are selling this item on a website or are they just wanting to see a picture of it?

If it's the latter then your proposed idea would seem fine.

Thanks for posting, here is the message she sent......

Thank you for sending this across, however we would need to the image to be a URL link to this image online. Is this image on your own website or another platform that you could send me the link to?

Ah yes the Photobucket option would be a good one to store the image then - sorry wasnt clear.

Photobucket is the option here.

Ensure play.com only want an URL and not concrete proof you have a website.

Good Luck

Not a bad idea to get your own site going to

For his own sales compared to play.com :) good to venture out since he is doing big business with account manager and affiliates
