Shipping monitors

Hi guys, I'm looking to ship out a few small monitors for security systems, the dimensions of them inside the boxes are 23cm x 16cm x 8cm I looked at the flat rate boxes, they are 12 dollars and change at the post office. Weigh around 3lbs.
How are you guys shipping items like these?
Looking to not cut into my profits as much.
Maybe more beneficial to buy my own boxes? Or how are you guys going about it?
Looking for someone who has experience shipping something similar or of similar dimensions.

In advance thanks for the help guys!

Those flat rate boxes sound like the best idea. It matters what part of the us u r sending to. I always check rates with regular priority and then compare to flat rate

Thank you for the great advise!
I will just be checking both from now on.

Since this is something new, I just wanted to make sure I can stay profitable!

You can also check ups and fedex

For big items I like FedEx ground/home service

Client pays for shipping or is it free ship?

Thank you! Do you find more affordable rates with them?

I thought about buying my own boxes in bulk to get a good deal on them. My items weigh a little under 2 lbs so not to heavy.

It's free shipping, I was thinking of ordering from some of my biggest competitors to see what they are doing as well.

I deft appreciate the help and support guys!

If you got to places like Walmart or Best Buy - they often have all kinds of boxes they are tossing out - good source of packaging material (examples of stores)
