Default Two questions

On this site I have to log in every time before I write a post, and then again after I write the post for it to be submitted. Is it supposed to be this way or am I just lucky?

Also I am looking to do aol dial up for hiding IP, and new usernames on pc for each account. Besides personal acct info, that's all I need to do right?

Still reading book.

I can do aol dial up on a cable phone line right?

That is not normal for an account on the forum no. Send a message to GreenBean, may be able to assist further with this.

You do not need to hide an IP per say, you just need to make sure that if you are using multiple stealth you don't log into EB from the same IP for each stealth. You simply need to track your IP's to prevent this.

New user account, new personal info, new EIN for the US, new card details, new phone number. Read and reread the guide until you have a clear understanding, and then if you still don't understand everything, ask and the forum may be able to clarify it more

Are you blocking cookies? Maybe site doesn't recognize you because of it...

Dial up works great, but slow.... endless IP range....

Even if the remember me box is ticket, should not be asking OP to log in that often. Cookies does seem most likely, other than that I am at a loss as to what could cause it. Very strange.

Hmm - I had an issue like that few months back - restarted the whole browser/computer and need not need to log in repeatedly...

Do you have your web browser in private mode ??? (It might be auto deleting your cookies).

What level do you have your INTERNET security zone ???

OP, If you are deleting your cookies on a periodic basis, though, that would cause this even if you checked the bullet to keep you signed in.

I think I'd have to delete my cookies after I log, in, then again after I write my post, then again after I post my post to have to log in again 3 times in 5 minutes.

I don't delete my cookies or have any kind of security.

As far as the dial up, I was reading, I have a router. It sounded VERY complicated and time consuming to deal with a router and getting a new IP. Where as dial up gives me a new one. I do most of my work on ink frog which I can log into from any IP except for when I get my token.

You will have some browser security settings by default which are 'OK' to be used for eb/pp/general web use on the default settings already pre-configured.

What web browser are you using ??? What OS are you using ???

I suspect this is an issue specific to your setup somewhere already outlined above or within those boundaries.

When you log in, try clicking on the "Remember Me" box.

Just to clarify, dial up doesnt "hide" IP per say...IP is always seen - just depends what IP you want to show

Default uh-oh --> My dial up plan....

I bought aol dial up, since I spend little time actually on ebay, (I use management sites). However, I looked in the bag of my desk top and lap top to plug in my phone line, and NO PHone jack?

I thought dial up would be the easiest way. ANy solutions to not having a phone jack on pc's....or...am I missing something?

the dial up will give me a different IP though every time I log in right?

Can they go off just IP? Can't my neighbor across the street get the same IP one time as I did?

Advantages and disadvantages of dial-up.

Really slow, really. ( that can be a downer).

Yes, the IP differs.

Yes a neighbor can get the same IP.

This comes down to your ( future) stealth plan.

You need to buy an old school dial-up modem...56k or so (more)

If it is old style dial-up you get the 56K modem

Quicker options exist that will be faster.

Dial up is tedious? Dealing with router and modem seemed the most tedious. It was too confusing to really understand. I just need to find a way to get the book on my ipad so I can finish reading it.

Amysol, look into a Dongle (USB Modem). It's faster in most cases and you can connect it to virtually any PC, Laptop you may have.

Two very good Companies I can suggest are Verizon, and Virgin Mobile. Dialup constrains you to your home PC and it's just too slow.
