| | | | | winx1 | 06-16-2013 05:09 PM | Take a look at my plan and review it, please Hi everyone, I have the guide and have been looking at it very closely, here is my plan to starting again on ebay.
1. new ip / clear cookies / new pc acct
2. new virtual address for registering on eb & pp (could be up to 200 miles away from banned addr)
3. new phone, email
4. new bank acct
5. name variation
This obviously doesn't include little things missed out but what does everyone think of the name variation option?
I am intending to do "jon monkey" instead of "jonathan monkies". I am hoping that when the limits are hit on the accts I can just send my passport/driving lic. with the original banned addr and they will not double check the details on there the only real issue here is the actual passport/driving lic.
I am not aiming to rip any customers off or make a run for it, I had a great business but sadly cannot turn back time and get rid of vero warnings e.t.c.
So what does everyone think? be as blunt as you like.
thanks |
| corleone | 06-16-2013 06:01 PM | You may want to edit your post. I wouldn't use a name variation, I would be creative with the name choice. |
| winx1 | 06-16-2013 06:08 PM | Hi,
the reason I want to use a name variation is because I only want 1 big account, my problem is I have high turnover £1k+/day and around 200 orders per day. What do you suggest with the name choice? Friend/family name?
I had TRS platinum acc, 10,000+ feedback and 99%+ before I got suspended, suspension was due to old vero's mounting up, I also think the paypal was suspended because of it and the fact I never kept much in there. I would try and keep at least 1 day turnover there now in future. The account is only at risk of limitation because of high turnover, therefore confirming ID is the only issue.
I don't want to spread over multiple accts because I think in my situation it is just a case of lesson learnt with the old acct and ebay will have no major reasons to suspend me. |
| corleone | 06-16-2013 06:12 PM | My reasoning is that if you are selling the same type of items as your banned account, with the same type of name, it's easier to link. Manual reviews are rare, but trust me, they do happen, and a person sitting at a desk notices things that a computer won't.
Also, 1 big account is not the way to go IMO. You've just put all your eggs in one basket. 200 orders a day is a lot of traffic and you're going to be put under a review. I'm not as familiar with the UK as I am with US ebay so maybe you're fine, there's plenty of UK members here to give you advice. In the US we have SSN requirements which shoot down your plan in a heartbeat. |
| winx1 | 06-16-2013 06:15 PM | I totally understand your input but I wouldn't go full force in with all items straight away, I would start off with items that have high DSRs (stuff that can't be argued with in terms of quality), maybe do one product line at a time, I would use new images in all listings, different wording, different template style e.t.c. |
| Freakzilla | 06-16-2013 06:15 PM | It will take a long time to build an account to be able handle the sales you are talking about. I would say many many years.
I would suggest multiple stealth account. All new accounts have selling restrictions now, ebay account creation has changed a lot over the last few years.
There is no quick fix for this. |
| winx1 | 06-16-2013 06:17 PM | I literally started out 6 months ago with an old account (around 250 feedbacks, no real selling history, maybe 30 items) that has been around since 2005. The paypal used was brand new so I strongly believe that the same is possible, I just need to be there when they want to confirm IDs and such and keep up with any issues.
I reckon even if that account wasn't from 2005, I would still have made a success of it with no problem at all. |

| This won't work and you will end up getting suspended. Ebay / paypal are dumb but they're not stupid.
The name on the documents needs to be an exact match for the name on the account. Monkey and Monkies won't cut it. They'll probably look into your account in more detail for that very reason.
Use any random name. There is is always a way round the document issue. |
| Mr. Invisible | 06-16-2013 11:48 PM | When that account gets taken out what then? You're right back in the same place again. You don't want eb/pp being able to stop your cash flow, that is the other reason you spread sales across multiple accounts. |

Confirming ID is merely one issue.
Where's your plan for the 21 day holds? Few accounts waltz into selling without them.
Similarity of names is a big issue especially with ebay UK.
Entire purpose of stealth is to be a new you.
What are you doing for a new address? You can not, and should not use the old BANNED address.
What are you doing about new items to sell? Forget old vErO. That will kill you again.
Where did the concept of selling 200 items daily and raking in £1000 arrive from? doing that invites limitations.
You are restarting an account at a time where ebay is looking closely at anything new.
Plan needs to be tweaked.

| Murray | 06-17-2013 06:21 AM | Maybe it could be a case of "From the mouths of babes..." and the plan will work, OP can come back to tell us and we'll just have to accept that we've all been doing it hard way for ages. I can't see it, but you never know ;)
Personally, the hardest part of stealth was learning that I can't do or necessarily sell the same things that I could with my very first and now suspended bona fide accounts. I still like one account at least with "access to all areas". Others can sometimes be used like disposable barbeques, but it's all about what I want each account to do in my mind.
That may have been the part OP hasn't quite got to grips with yet. |
| Dmshark25 | 06-17-2013 06:31 AM | All your doing is following the same path that got u suspended in the first place. Ebay doesn't like when u sell to much to fast that is a risk to them. Forget about 200 transactions a day on one account you will just be back where u started Suspended. You need to create multiple accounts and spread your sales out, with ebay u need to fly under the radar , seeing so many transactions a day scares them and you will be certainly suspended
Rethink your plan, you need to start thinking and operating totally different than before, unfortunately ebay is in control it's either play there rules or die |

:nono: | day holds aren't a problem, there will never be more than £1k in the acct, I have had previous success calling paypal, I even got my permanently suspended acct reactivated within 5 days.
The address will either be virtual or an address I can have access to, vero isn't a problem as it was the wording of the listings that got me the MC019 warnings, nothing else (once wording was changed I was selling up to 4,000 of each item with no problems whatsoever). I am fine with being temporarily limited, no biggy.
I really don't see the point in spreading across multiple accts unless you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗/very high risk items. Like I said the only real issue is the identity of the acct holder.
There is no chance in getting the accounts back at all now, however. I made the mistake of keeping my listings live when I had the permanent paypal ban and that created a lot of customers contacting ebay because they couldn't pay. I was so overwhelmed with customers needing help I ended up ignoring them and continuing from one point instead of going back and replying to 100s of messages. |

| Such an issue can sorted.
We always have workarounds
:juggle: |
You also spread sales to keep amounts coming into PP at a lower rate and stay under the radar - one of the advantages. |

| Whether you think your items are high risk or not, even if you only sold generic cotton swabs, if you're selling $1000 per day, paypal is going to consider it a high risk account.
Risk is not just items, but cashflow. Any situation where paypal could stand to lose money is a situation that is considered high risk.
Say you decide to bail out one day and withdraw the 1k that's in your account and not ship any items. That's what paypal is looking at when determining your risk.
Keep it small, keep money in the account, and don't grow too big too fast. If the account starts taking off too fast, open more accounts and spread it out. High Sales amount is going to guarantee an account limitation and you'll have to provide documentation. I have over 100 accounts that I have kept under the radar, some for several years.
You do not want your eb/pp to look like a full time business, you want it to look like a part time hobby. |
PP will see high sales and high dollars on a new account as always problematic - you can build one account sure but what happens if it falls? All eggs in one basket... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:39 PM. | |
