Default Best UK banks for stealth?

This is for the UK banks specifically.

Due to the recent information sharing of Paypal & banks, anyone know which one's are still low-key?

I currently have 2 Natwest accounts, and before I link a Paypal, I'd like to know if it will cause me problems and whether I should go to another bank and open another account. If so, which alternative banks are best?

All of your input is highly appreciated.

What information sharing is that?

I've read about it in previous posts, not sure what specific information was passed on, but apparently they are working more closely together now.

It would be nice to get the originating source for this claim.

This would not happen under UK data protection laws the last time I checked.

The only way paypal can find out is if you use your own debit or credit card for a payment. That way they can see your name. I'm unaware of any other way. That is the importance of using a VCC.

Bank do not share information with PP that could compromise a stealth account, so long as you opperate your stealth correctly.

Some banks (Lloyd s for example) do have an issued with mismatching name deposits, but that is down to the bank itself. They will only tell PP that the names mismatch if PP try to use the DD mandate to withdraw money from the bank account.

That's my only concern, i.e. a blatant mismatch of name, I'd rather address the issue beforehand than having established said account and weeks or months later have it burned.

Simple search of the forum will tell you which banks have issues with mismatching names.

What is the source of this?

Are you inferring claims from here or from outside sources?

This needs addressing at once to prevent misinformation

Only real way that PP gets your true name on the bank account is if you upload funds from the bank you choose - dont do it.

Well...also if they need to subpoena your a$$ if you commit crazy frauds...which we all hope you arent

No no, nothing illegal or border-line retarded.
And I will absolutely not be adding any funds from the bank account. Funds for fees, etc will be preloaded through VCC.

Due to the recent information sharing of Paypal & banks, anyone know which one's are still low-key?
All of your input is highly appreciated.

I read it here on the forum, basically I summed it up. What I'm referring to is eBay slyly trying to get your name on the bank account to see if it matches the Paypal info. I.e. if it's bogus or not.

I do agree with the fact that they hired consultants and are employing scare tactics and little tricks to try and weed out stealthers, i.e. the recent "easy increases" in selling limits so as you trip up (reach certain thresholds) and then have to provide documents, etc.

@SUVE

Sandy D has posted regarding eBay USA hiring consultants. Not aware there was anything for eBay UK.

Until more info from the OP this seems to be conjecture

Sighs

I appreciate the heads up on Sandy's post - I will look this up now.

I am trying to be helpful but agreed, Op does seems to be generalizing a lot. :(

It is that fine line of summarising issues

Fingers crossed for calm

Relax everyone, I may have used Strong words.

But the bottom line is, if they've done so for the US (consultants, etc.), they should have already or will in the near future do it for the UK. I think being wary is a positive thing.

*hands out chill-pills to everyone involved in the thread*
*begs for forgiveness*

Just have to be a bit careful with wording sometimes, and refer to the sources for claims that can effect peoples stalthing in a big way.
