I have a question...I understand the new phone, new bank account and new cc, but if you use a "new name" what in the world happens when you reach the limit of 200 transactions or 20K in sales?

The 1099 has to be mailed to you, right...so do you use an EIN number, I want to be successful and honest about this whole thing...

If I follow the stealth instructions, I can use a friend or relatives info, but I dont want to do that because of the 1099 thing at the end of the year. I would want all that info to come to me...at my real address, in my name...can someone please advise and give me some answers or help?

I set up an etsy stealth account to sell in my daughters info before I figured out if I start selling alot, shes going to be the responsible party when using the direct checkout w etsy...

Again, what are the clear choices for me to make in setting up a legit stealth account in a name that would keep me as the responsible party?

Hint: If you spread your sales across many accounts....then perhaps you won't ever reach the $20k in sales...something to think about.

My advice is to read it over and over along with using the forum for updates and other techniques to help you with stealth.

When you refer to stealth. Most member's assume on here assume you are using fufu names and info and run multiple PayPals to stay under the 20k threshold.

You can create another account using and EIN. If you use your name it can be a gamble. If you PayPal was taken down several years ago you have a better chance of getting away with this. But I would suggest getting an address in another city even a friends or family members but registering it in you name. Possibly a variation of you name if possible. Probably easier if you are male. But if you first name is William i would try registering it as Bill or Willie. If it is Jonathan register it as John or something like that. Use the stealth way of getting past the CC verification and everything else. Also you must make sure you use the stealth guide to make sure you do not link yourself to you previous account.

Nothing is sure proof when going down this route. If you want to PM me I can give you some more advice off the forum. I did go the EIN route 3 years ago when this law came into place.

Also just to note for the admins none of the advice I give is to avoid taxes. It is to try to comply with the 1099k law while keeping your stealth accounts.

If you have been banned from EB at your current address, then you cannot put the address into EB. Better to use an address that you have access to (residential address, rented box ect)

You can use name variation to have it come in your name, or at least close to your name

Don't use friends information. Eventually you run out of friends. This is America! Open a new business in whatever name you want! (get an EIN for that business, and you're good to go)

You need to open multiple accounts spread your sales out so you won't get hit with 1099. So make as many accounts you need to stay under this limit .

Now this is totally legit we do this not to avoid paying taxes , you always need to do that , but we spread sales out to avoid having to provide SS# which gives ebay the opportunity to find out who we are
