Default EB getting more aggressive to link accounts?

I followed the guidelines for stealth to the "T" and still got MC999 15 days after buying an item (not trying to sell, but I bought an item). All of the details were brand new including PC, IP and connection method, all new PP details...

Only things that could be suspicious to PP were the same last name from a previously banned seller acct, and that the purchased Item on EB received an unpaid item strike. But are these points enough for EB to find its a stealth acct? This really sucks b/c I burned a legit address that I could use to receive items and expected this account to be strong since its all new stealth info. Please help.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Hmm I really doubt last name and purchase would ban you.

Is it possible you used a recycle phone number? That has happened to few people - you got mc999 just out of the blue? What action were you doing at THAT time (you said 15 days before you bought an item...)

But it is not a common last name. And timeline wise it has not been a long time between the previous suspension and creation of new stealth. If EB is looking then it would find it. Due to the unpaid strike from a well established PowerSeller, the buyer account might have been reported which initiated a manual review of the account?

What do you mean 'recycle phone num'? I used a Google Voice # I never used before. It is possible that this same # was linked to someone else's suspended EB but isn't that unlikely? Yes the mc999 is completely out of the blue as I made sure to take it slow and not raise any flags. I won the auction (bought the item but then decided not to pay) didnt do anything else on the acct and 15 days later or so I got the suspension..is it possible I got bullied by the PowerSeller and EB figured why risk this buyer acct w/ 0 feedback?

What?????

You buy on a brand new account then decide not to pay?

What is this silly talk of being bullied? You bullied the seller by not honouring a contract
You used a name associated with a banned account?????

That is not following stealth to a T

You flagged your own account by doing that

eBay will protect itself to make sure the account was not hacked

Good for them too

Need to follow stealth method better.

Don't buy items if your not going to pay for them, this raises flags.

Basically, you just answered your own question. The account was not initially limited, so it passed their automation just fine. Only after it was looked at did they shut down the account. That happens when manual reviews occur. Remember, automation is your friend.

When using any new account, even if just a buying account, you should be on your best behavior. The unpaid item strike obviously prompted them to take a closer look at your account, which is exactly what you do NOT want. Humans can see things automation can't.

This has nothing to do with stea/lth. It only has to do with you being a jacka$$ that doesn't pay for items they purchased. EB is for big boys and girls ok, not you.

Unpaid buyer...this forum is for sellers not for buyers unable to make commitments.

Seriously you followed everything to the T, is this a joke? Where in the guide or forum does it say before you sell your first item wait and purchase an item and not pay for it. I mean come on , ebay is definitely not for you if you don't think what you did is a problem

I think everyone should calm down a little. Yes, this is a SELLERS forum, and we all are somewhat sensitive to bad buyer behavior. But we don't know WHY the buyer didn't pay for the item.

I prefer to always assume good intentions and point out any pitfalls in their behavior or plans without judging.

This is, of course, just my opinion. The OP is not a newbie and has both stealth guides. I also remember them from other posts on the forum. And there COULD be a valid reason she didn't complete the transaction. Once, after I won an item in an auction for a printer, the seller emailed me and told me he forgot to mention it in the listing, but that the toner was not included in the sale and he would be removing it from the printer. I backed out - without the toner, it would not be worth the price I paid. He filed a case against me and lost. But I think that most people would agree that his intention to remove something from an item listed as brand new was RELEVANT - would you want to buy a "brand new" iPad with the battery removed?

This is the point. They got what they deserved. No excuses to be made here.

38% longevity and has both guides. Stea/lth is not for everyone. I suggest OP get some much needed help...with life.
