Something weird with USPS

Last two week I have some return request on some of my Amazon account and the reason is "no longer need"

So I used "USPS Shipping Assistance" software to created return shipping label and buyer have to pay postage at the post office.

Last week I received them and they are surprised me as two of the packages return to me with no postage at all. On the label it said "U.S Postage Required" but there is no postage anywhere in the package. USPS didn't ask my to pay for the package either. There is no stamp say "insufficient postage"

I check the tracking number they those two are just like normal package.

How is that happen? Anyone can explain that?

Thank you

I can't explain it, but if you find out, please share! We would ALL love free shipping!

Want a real laugh?

I ordered items from my supplier.

4 boxes total.

Box 1 of 4 showed up.
Box 2 of 4 showed up.
Box 4 of 4 showed up.

No sign of box 3, so I go online to see and is shows being held in Jacksonville.

So I file a claim for box 3 of 4 being missing.

I got a check for the entire lot, well into the hundreds which is covering the entire order.

I called them on the phone to ask them if I should return the check or what to do. The rep told me to deposit it because you did lose the merchandise and you paid the shipping and insurance correct? I said yes. Well then cash it and we are sorry this happened.

And they see on the net that it is being held? Case of right hand not knowing what the left is doing...kind of like PP

Maybe I am missing something Tony but...that would be it was returned due to insufficient postage fund on it, no? i.e. none...

TonyAlmeida 08-09-2013 10:47 AM

If it was returned due to insufficient postage they will have a red stamp on it said "Insufficient postage". These package just OK. Tracking number show like normal.

Are you 100% sure you're not paying for the postage yourself when you print the labels for your buyers?

Check your account history or something.

I'm 100 positive. When I print the label always check print with out postage. Also, I never provide my financial information to print the label.

And the label clearly said "U.S Postage Required" right on the corner where's the stamp should be place.

I wonder if there is a glitch within the system.

There has been a change to postal services in mid July.

(That was the time you reported this matter).

Wonder if this is the reason, Tony?

I really don't know. But I don't know how it passed through too many people eyes. I tried to locate a label and take a picture of it now

GreenBean 08-10-2013 10:55 PM

Um, we are talking about the postal services of the USA......

or the lack of them.
