Any Advantage to Going Off Ebay for Buyers?
 

Are buyers protected just as well if they purchase and pay for something through paypal instead of having to go through ebay?

There is still buyers' protection ( of sorts).

Or are you talking about buying off a site that has paypal as a payment option?

PP does provide buyer protection on non-eBay transactions if certain conditions are met: e.g. buyer has verified pp, SNAD case with proof, etc.

Specific criteria on pp site.

Just paypal, no website.

Buyers protection exists.

Buyer must ensure the items meet the criteria for protection.

paypal are pretty strict about disputes time wise.

They enforce that 45 day rule to dispute.
