Using same card on two accounts

I recently found a an old Paypal and Ebay that I set up, the card had expired, so I added another Entropay card, unfortunately I made a boo boo and used one that I used on another account.

It said something like "That card is already associated with another account"

Has anyone else made the same mistake, and was there any repercussions?

I am tempted to add a bank to this account because it's aged nicely, but then something in my head tells me I should start from scratch

So shall I

a)Ditch the account
b)Verify the account and carry on
c)Try selling as unverified to test the water

The account that the card was used on the first time is an old limited one I think

Has it ever sold any items in the past? eBay selling accounts only start to age after their first sale.

I would personally ditch and move on unless it does have a good selling history and I have a bank account to burn.

If the card was formerly linked to a suspended account , it probably is a matter of time before that is also linked and limited.

I wouldn't waste a bank account yet, maybe just add a VCC and see what happens in the next 2-3 months

Nope, didn't have a sale.

Ok I didn't know that regarding the first item.

I think I will sell on it as unverified and see what happens, got nothing to lose.

Cheers

Just remember that you will not be able to withdraw money from PP without a bank account attached, so you will have to find other ways to get at any money in the PP account. It also runs a risk of being limited for 180 days, in which case you would have to add a bank account to get any limited money out after 180 days.

Yep, no worries, got tonnes of ways to cash out

In your shoes sax4, I might be tempted to lightly sell on the account but keep in mind, you can be limited after your first payment for that link caused by use of an old card. Keep us posted - knowing PP....I would not rely on the account - it could go down

Yes, I have made this mistake. No, there were no repercussions.

The card was never linked to the 2nd account so you should be good. I'm guessing they treat it the same way as a typo.

Spot on.

People can make errors typing card numbers in.

There will be no repercussions.
