Bank Transfer Reversals and Closing Paypal Accounts
 

Today my bank account at ING just got locked up due to a Paypal deposit reversal. I've now learned that bank deposits via Paypal is a bad thing - if for some reason they investigate the deposit, your bank will get suspicious as well and lock your bank account.

One side question: Once you close a Paypal account, can Paypal still reverse any transactions done through that account? Like from a Paypal account to a merchant account?

I'm mainly searching for a way to dump my Paypal account without reversals and bank restrictions.

My bank says that if you simply request that they change your account number then PayPal or whoever you might have given your acct info as a backup funding option can no longer get to your funds at that bank.

So even if you deposit and close the account, Paypal can still reverse the deposit?
