Advice on Shipping goods in Bulk to US - help?

Dear All,

Firstly, thank you aspkin for such great ebook and forum. Ive already learnt a lot from this forum. I have been a ebay seller since 2006 but only really been doing it properly in the past half a year. I am still using my original account without any suspension. Only "below standard" for seller performance. (any one have good advice to raise those standards?)

Anyway recently a seller want to buy in bulk from me, he's from US. I have not shipped bulk to US before. I am just wondering if there is any tax issue if I shipped all 20 items in one big box? The item value is around US$98 each. And is medium size around 25cm x 20cm x 15cm.

Do you think i should ship them in two separate boxes? To different address?

I'd really appreciate any help. Thank you very much!!

I would contact some shipping services in Hong Kong, there are some third party companies who are very good at avoiding customs issues.

Worth noting is that if your item is considered high-risk, counterfeit (not that I am saying that it is) but that does weigh into whether you want to send all in one box.

Even so, there are some shipping companies in Hong Kong who specialize in such services.

The difference between a good and bad supplier is all about their shipping. It took me years to find someone in China who could ship reliably.

Thanks everyone for your response. I end up sending in 3 boxes, one in speedpost, one with air parcel and one on another day, just to be safe.

I'll see what happens..

Which one was more expensive - speedpost or air parcel?

definately speedpost, about US$25 more
