Adding funds...

I have my stealth business PPal account under a business name.

However the bank account attached to this account is not under this name, but my real name.

If i need to add funds to my account... is this likely to fail?

Which bank?

When you say 'my account' are you referring to adding funds to your Paypal account that is in your stealth name? If so, yes, PP will see the name on your bank account because you are making a deposit. Every deposit records the name on the account.

If however, you are referring to a withdrawal (fund transfer from Paypal to bank), then PP cannot see your name on the bank account. You just need to ensure the issuing bank you are using allows mismatch names.

GB - It's barclays.

Yes i am saying to add funds to my pal account.

Withdrawing works fine, i have withdrawn already.

Just when i need to add funds into PP is my concern.

There are a couple different methods from the looks of things, PP can either give you there account number and sort code and you manually transfer to them. OR if the direct debit is setup they can do it that way.

However the bank account i have attached is a savers and i received an email saying DDI failed a while ago... and when i go to use this method it is asking me to enter the Bank Details again.

Ta!

Name is on the deposit slip. Name has to be on it. Issues would only arise if the account was under investigation.

Feasible to do occasionally. I do such transfers without hassle.

Does that go for direct debit transfers to? not just transferring manually.

Or how about this... say i have no money on the Pal account, and i want to transfer money to somebody - will pal pay for this by taking the money straight from the account?

GreenBean 08-13-2013 11:25 AM

Options exist here

Direct debit transfers from bank to PP - yes, your name will be seen. 1 time is unlikely to cause issues but keep in mind that the name is shown.

If you transfer money to someone without having funds in your pp, the selection of source of payment will come up - you will either have bank option (default) or change it to CC option (preferable)

Bunneh 08-13-2013 11:39 AM

why not use entropay instead? it may cost a little extra but it will save you possibly losing the paypal account.

rsot 08-14-2013 04:55 AM

OP can use Entropay to make purchases, true but not just to upload funds

GreenBean 08-14-2013 05:02 AM

Why not TRY paying attention to the questions about using a BANK ACCOUNT.

This is the OP's aim.

How can he best optimise using a bank account to fund paypal....

Making another bank account in the same name as the stealth will work too.
