I am starting to theorize that quality of address is extremely important for US accounts. Running tests to confirm theory.
Recap so far: Test 1: Eb/PP (fully verified) created. Item listed at 1 c within a couple of days with no browsing/buying.
Address was UPS store address. Address passes USPS validation tool but raises a flag that the address is private mail box.
Result: MC999 within 30min but was able to recover account on the phone. Rep mentioned that my address was a suite. Note: 1c auction could have triggered MC999 Test 2: Eb/PP (fully verified) created. Item listed at 1 c within a couple of days with no browsing/buying.
Address is a mixture of real condo building + made appartment.
That address failed the system.
Result: Bot gave MC999 within 30min. Calling rep twice lead to account suspended both times. My theory is that ⊗⊗⊗⊗ apartment number destroyed account. Test 3: Eb/PP (fully verified) created. Item listed at 99 c within a couple of hours with no browsing/buying.
Address is simply the same address as test 2 without any apartment number. The address formatted like that fully passes USPS validation with no error at all. Note: except address, everything else about this account is different from test 2 to prevent linking
Result: Item listed and account has been running for 24h without tripping any bots. Listing is visible in eBay search results.
I will keep you posted as things progress with Test 3 and as I am making new tests.
thx
J.
