Suggestions for advertising my web site for free or little money.

Hi fellow subscribers,

I was wanting a little advice but I did not see an answer already posted. I am starting my own web site and I obviously want traffic to get sales. I know people have said to advertize on forums but like this forum some places do not want people to advertise their site or risk being banned. Any suggestions of how to get my web site out there that is fairly inexpensive or no cost? I thought about using my ebay accounts to advertize every time I send the item to include either an email or on my packing slip refer them to the website for more...is this a good idea? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

Aspkin recently completed work on a new project that addresses this. Grab a copy of six figure boss (sfb).

I have the SFB book and I'm about halfway through part two. I know he suggests to advertise on forums but most don't allow that. Even on social media but I didn't know if there are areas people find more successful than others.

Including your website in your ebay orders as a packing slip is a great idea, and does in fact work. If you website is easily accessible and consumer friendly you will get a very respectable conversion rate using this method, as long as you offer a worth-while incentive to your potential customers, such as an extra 10% discount if purchased through your website as opposed to ebay.

As far as traffic, the SEO section will enlighten you.

Thank you AuctionsDenied, I will look at that section very thoroughly! 123 thank you as well, I'm pleased you think my idea is a good one.

Learning proper SEO is good way to grow organically into google search engine and paying literally $0 in advertising. I have websites that now sell daily with simply good SEO.

Now it is not instant. It can take months to a year to get good traffic.

A year ???? Whoa......that is a bit much but I guess we are all different. I had a corporate client who had a brief for a SEO project.I declined the contract for the moment.

I have had some training on this & I had not come across a time span you speak of.

Good to have a different input on this though.

SUVE: It was not my main project. If you are hardcore about it, it may be faster but you can't rush google to update your PR rank instantly.

I appreciate your feedback.

I guess the contractor/colleague I would have deployed on this contract...........would have been hardcore....so fair point.

I say that as the material I have on this.........outlines various methods/approaches/techniques that maximizes the outcome on this in the least amount of time..............I just never envisaged a years time frame.

I will reappraise myself of this topic for the most current information.

Thank you to everyone! I have started to read the SEO section of SFB and I can say I understand Google Adwords a lot better now. I am trying to figure out what to set as the amount per click. I see Aspkin puts $1.00 but can you put a lower value? Or does that affect when Google puts your ad up?

I looked up another thread where the user was like you, Twocoolt. He too was starting out on this venture.

Have a read of the thread

Early on it is a time of experimentation. You will have to budget for some expenditure.

Good Luck
