Tesco Instant Access Saver - Deposit there but no code
 

Hi All

I normally attach a current/basic accounts to my paypals but for the first time I have used a Tesco 'Instant Access' Saver. The 1p verification deposit from Paypal showed up immediately on the bank transaction history, but the verification code is still not there and that is since 21/8.

Anyone tried this account before and had success? How long do I wait before resorting to adding another bank?

Due to the new verification process with UK Paypal (1p deposit with expuse code), the Tesco Saver is no use.

Phoning Tesco Bank is pointless. They cannot see the code at their end either.

It can be used to withdraw from an already verified paypal but can't be used to verify.

Oh I see, thanks for that. No point waiting any longer then! Are you aware of any other savers which do not work for the same reason? I will need to open some more accounts. I have just used a Santander e-saver and it worked ok - 1p instant deposit with code.

The same way you would any other bank

Tesco saver just cannot be used to verify a PayPal account

Just be careful at the speed at which you open accounts. Too many, too quickly and the banks will start asking questions.

The Tesco saver still has a sort code and account number. You add it by clicking on "Withdraw" and then "Add Bank". You never confirm the bank account or submit dd. This can only be done IF the Paypal is already verified.

For example - from the above info - you could do a cashout of a 180 day limited PP account
