aliexpress - huge amount of order missing

I have just took delivery made on aliexpress and it was missing roughly $3000 worth of goods.

The payment was made almost 4 weeks ago which means the delivery was super slow.

Once strange thing is when i logged into aliexpress to lodge a complaint there is no record of the order. I only last week logged in an contacted the supplier via my orders in aliexpress.

Luckily in my emails inside the confirm delivery message the item number clickable link pushed me onto the order itself. I here lodged a complaint and asked for my $3000 back.

Is there anything else i should be doing here? I paid by debit card from a business bank account via alixpress escrow.

My only advice would be to always pay using a credit card rather than a debit. Then you have a further layer of protection should things go wrong.

AliExpress is very reputable. I would be surprised if they did not cover you.

Is it possible that part of the order was in another package that may still be in transit?

Could items be held up in customs for money owed?

I also agree with NoneOther, it is always best to protect yourself as much as you can. Here in the USA, many banks extend the same credit card protections to their debit cards, even though they are not required to do so by law. I'm thinking that perhaps banks in the UK may do the same thing???

GreenBean 09-04-2013 05:41 PM

@jeffweico

Luckily the UK does that now as well.

Provided the card has either of the mainstream logos, most buyers will be offered protection. Onus is on them to prove to the bank they are entitled to be covered.

Bank may need prodding to assist.

But at law, it is the consumer's right to have protection.

Going to be difficult to convince bank to get involved but I think you should be talking more with AliExpress CS right now.

When did you become an expert on British consumer law, rsot?

I buy on aliexpress. Never had an issue.

Simply avoid the Iphone 7 and Ipad 6. I am not sure they are genuine.

If the Blackberry H12 was involved the news is going to be bad.

You should be wise to this

Never had any issues with AliExpress. They are very professional. Ask the supplier, maybe they can help you

Let's not go there bosslady with the titling of 'expert' - let's just stick to discussion and not involve me :) thanks.

JamesNorth is so ahead of the tech game I am jealous hah.

Then be careful of your own advice.

Since you know nothing of UK consumer laws, leave them out of responses.

You implied you do......

Now you say you do not.

Then we can stick to the topic.

Not going to go back and forth but please don't imply that I know nothing of UK consumer laws...I didn't say that either - don't pass judgement - I am asking again :) I don't do that. You know GB - I do have a lot of experience on many things...I don't post them all up because of judgements and posts being taken down - but I wont go so far as to be an expert in anything :)

Anyhow, back to the topic.

GreenBean 09-07-2013 11:07 AM

Hmmm, so know you are saying you never make errors in posts or break the forums rules with their content?

Back to topic as you wish

I just ordered 500 Chicago Bear Jerseys from aliexpress because I thought they would be winning the super bowl. Now what do I do with these useless jerseys?

LOL

Just kidding.

Just kidding.

Wait a couple of years for when the iphone7 and ipad6 finally get created. Then you can have a ball selling them.

Be careful of what country you list them on.

Need to be wise,Sandy D

:surrender:

rsot 09-08-2013 06:05 AM

I really hope they don't get to ipad 6 hah
