Just aced my first MC999 call in
 

Wow, that was easier than I thought. Got an MC999 and had my listings removed. Said I had to call in. I was worried that it might have something to do with accidentally exchanging ip addresses with my legit acct vs my stealth. Very bad move yesterday. I know you guys said once is okay, maybe. But I actually switched them twice! I was like okay, I'll call in because I did not want to waste my 10 bucks on creating this account. (Vanilla card activation fee and Chase monthly fee), so I called expecting them to at least ask me whether or not this was connected to any other account. That question wasn't even asked!

The rest of the questions was the basics. What's your address, who's your supplier and what do you plan to sell. I told them all my stealth info without blinking. Then they lifted the mc999 restriction, I was like oh yea!

Thanks to Anonymou$ for posting his experience. I literally had his thread up in front of my computer screen while I was talking to the ebay rep. I was literally following his questions step by step. Thanks Anonymous!

The key with calling in is having the info in front of you and pretending like your new to all of this.

I've called on a few with the same situation and always come out fine.

Now that I passed the first MC999, will I get another one on selling supposedly high risk electronics like cheap RAM? I even told this to the ebay rep. You guys said electronics might be high risk. Now that I passed the first MC999, will I get another one quickly?

It's not that you will get an MC999 quickly.

No account is immune from being flagged by ebay and facing issues.

You need to appreciate this.

Agree - dont think that you are immune just because you passed one - good that you did - approach sales slowly and carefully.
