What info do tokens require?
 

Okay, so using a dropshipping company. They need to get an ebay token to do business. I used my real info with the dropship co to sign up, real name, address, etc. When they go to get this token will they be comparing names and addresses with ebay to make sure everything is legit? Or is it simply a matter of matching up id name with legit passwords?

Oh come on guys, I really need some input on this? Anyone?

Well-I am def. NOT a techy person--but I can tell u what "I look out for"..
When u create say the "auctiva account token"--the acct info/the snapshot is taken over at auctiva..it is then stored for future use, auctiva dials into ebay if u may, and accesses your ebay info, gets its "token", maybe some call it a cookie, or an authorization code, then comes back over to auctiva to finish up the registration process..

IN Ebay--they create a cookie to track your usage, your pc type, your ip address,
like when i log into bank of america--it KNOWS whether ive cleared my cookies or not..

Not exactly. Here is a scenario:
Set up new ebay acct. using all STealth procedures, using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, address, etc. Signed up with a company where it was, for whatever reasons, necessary to use real name/address, etc. This company needs a token to do what it does with ebay and myself. When this company tries to get a token with the ebay id I give them, will ebay require them to provide the name or address, or whatever personal info on me before they will issue the token?

Most definitely, thats exactly what the token is used for to GET all the infomation you put into ebay that will id you when you come back.

It matters what it is used for.

Are they requiring your token so they you can post listings from their drop shipping site?

Or just for verification purposes?

Im pretty sure they can see the info but if its just for listing purposes , for ex auctvia, then they probably wont go and check.
