A contracted company representative (like a law firm enforcing the manufacturer's trademarks/copyrights) COULD use a Yahoo.com email address, although it would be HIGHLY UNUSUAL.
If the email just came to your email inbox and is not in your eBay messages, then it is probably a competitor trying to scare you.
In any event, I don't see the harm in contacting eBay. The OP stated they are buying directly from the manufacturer. As long as eBay could check that if need be (via a phone call or receipts) then it should be easy to have the violation removed. If this is a matter of the manufacturer not wanting their products on eBay at all, then it still won't matter as it would be very difficult to consistently sell the product on ANY account. |
