What would you do?
 

Hello I started a new PayPal and eBay account couple of weeks ago.
Then I decided to not use her name because of the taxes etc.
So I opened up a business llc in my name has a tax id etc.
I have sold 3 things on the eBay and PayPal account I made under her name.
I still have 8 items listed for sale.
I have a 25 item limit on it per month.
I have a new address new banking account # new everything.
My question is are you able to change her account info into my llc or should I just start a whole new PayPal and eBay account not sure if you are even able to change the registration info etc.
What would you do being in my situation?

You are using an account from someone you know, but you don't want her to be responsible for the taxes, so you formed the LLC and want to use the EIN for tax reporting purposes?

If that is correct, you CAN add the LLC information and tax-id to the account. At the end of the year, the sales from that account would be reported to the IRS using the LLC information.

It is still never a good idea, however, to use another real person's information.

Ok you can't change the info on PayPal though can you? Like once you register your name you can't change it on PayPal can you.

No. PayPal and eBay accounts CAN be transferred, but only with their consent. Usually, this would be when a larger seller sells their business to someone else. I don't see them approving a transfer in this instance.

PayPal considers EVERY account a personal account in the sense that someone MUST be ultimately responsible for it. So, even if the account is upgraded to a business account and your friend would not be responsible for paying the taxes, if a balance owing was left with PayPal then your friend would be responsible to PayPal for any money owed.

This is why it is never recommended to use someone else's information. If anything goes south, it could put your relationship with the person in jeopardy.

So pretty much if you were me you would just create 2 brand new accounts?
1 ebay and one paypal?

On my second stealth though what do I do for another address? I can't afford to pay for another postal box address. that is my main concern?

I replied in your other thread about other threads but no biggie.

Say the Address is 1234 First Street Box 1

You could try variations like 1-1234 Firs Street or 1234A 1st Street Suite #1 - change the zipcode a bit too - 1 or 2 digits change

But what about having it a real address so that just in case someone needs to return something to me or I purchase something?

I did a search on how to dodge address I didn't see anything earlier. Is there anyway you could please possibly post some of the links to those threads please :)

If you need to arrange a return, you can always e-mail the buyer with the address you want and explain that this is the place for "business returns"
