Passing the identification questions

Hey Guys!

So I bought the stealth guide and read it cover to cover. Really helpful!

My question is this:

Whether you use a family member's name (option 1) with a different address, or use a made up name, how do you ever pass the identification questions that are pulled from public records?

The nice thing about public records is they are never complete. Especially for younger people who have not had much of a chance to buy cars, house, apply for credit, etc. So, if eBay searches for public record information on a stealth identity, they will most likely come up empty.

So, they may ask you some made up questions. Search the forums, as there is much advice on passing this hurdle.

eBay and PayPal do NOT always ask these questions. At least not in my experience. Of late, though, it seems to be happening more often.

You WILL want to know something about the stealth address. For example, eBay will know what type of dwelling is there. So, using the address of your local Wal-Mart probably won't work. Luckily, you can look up what is at an address pretty easily. For example, if eBay reads you the stealth address and the rep asks, "so, is that a house, or an apartment building" you need to be able to answer that question. Also, they often ask if there are any parks close by and things like that.

Then, they sometimes say they have vehicle registration information and give you three types of cars to choose from. I have always just answered "none of the above" and that worked for me.

Gotcha, mine were pretty specific though:

Which college did you attend?
Who are you related to? (had my mom's name)
What city do you work in?

Also, I know it's not recommended (I'm leaning towards the LLC method personally), but if I were to use my dad's info but with another family member's address, is there a chance that the identification questions could link him back to me and my account and get the new one suspended?

Leave your Dad alone.

Just do not go there because of tax issues.

Do your own thing, Be a resonpsible adult.

Don't use any friend or family info - go stealth with mismatched name of yours or completely new name.

Better to deal with questions on made-up name :d
