couple questions about ebay seller and paypal.
 

hi guys i recently bought a item from a seller in usa. his feedback is low only 15 refs but i did ask him to send me more pictures of item etc so i could see the item. which he did so he sent me pictures ok.

my concern is hes taking days to reply back to me. which i find strange.

i know usa is different timezone to uk, but he took 3 days to reply to my last question to him.:confused:

anyone come across this before when buying from someone in us? or do you think i should be worried? or maybe im just over reacting.


item cost hell of alot of money over 3k but i will be paying for item by paypal.

so would also want to know once i have paid him by paypal can he shift the money or will paypal hold the money till i have received item?

i have only bought from usa once before but was only small item so just want some advice.

How many other high price items has he listed?

He may move the funds as soon as you pay and force paypal into doing a reversal. Your transaction may be doomed.

Walk away and find it else where.

When in doubt, let someone else buy him out.

Red flag there for a large sum.

hes got 2 items a project car for sale and a jeep. at the moment listed.

the item i bought was bought on ebay so i thought on that amount of money if i bought on ebay and then payed by paypal im protected through buyer protection incase he trys shifts or does not send me the item?

hes just replyed to me. i asked him why its takeing him 3 days to reply. and he said he was on vacation.

as stated earlyer i did ask him to send me some pictures of the item which he did.

but my main question is: the item was bought on ebay so i if i bought the item on ebay and then payed him through ebay by paypal am i fully protected through buyer protection incase he trys to shift money once i paid or if he does not send me the item?

just want to be sure if im covered incase anythink goes wrong.

On vacation so I could not get the item sent in a timely manner

It was a long week-end in the US and the internet seemed pretty quiet.

What don't you just call him and figure it out? Sometime on the phone you can build more trust.

Agree - $3k transaction not complete before going on vacation....not the best selling tactic
