| helpmelol | 11-02-2013 08:09 PM | question to those with multiple ebay accounts I read some of you have like 10 or 20 accounts.
How do you even control this? Do you switch your IP address every time you get an order on a different account? Every time you want to list something? Let's say you get 1 order on all accounts every day. Do you switch your IP 20 different times (which takes like 10 minutes every time) to accept and print the orders in order not to be linked? That must be extremely hard and time consuming... |
NOAHFER1 | 11-03-2013 09:38 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts Thats a great question. I also want to know the anwer. Any advice?? |
ilcarletto | 11-03-2013 09:50 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts ...well I only have 1 stealth but it takes about 1 minute to switch IP. I have a very common Sitecom Router. |
oompaloompa | 11-03-2013 10:25 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts If you do not want to change IP then just view your email for the address of the order instead of logging in.
I do not know if emails capture ip, but they can leave cookies.
some people forward all their accs to 1 email via POP and view it all on main user screen.
they have images turned off so that cookies and ip capturing should not be an problem. personally I think that is risky without running a cleaning app in between different emails.
some others go to to user acc for that ebay and look at email there. If you view email with images switched off you should be ok with not switching IP but you would need to make sure your ebay on that user was logged off or it would capture IP. |
JamesNorth101 | 11-03-2013 11:23 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts I forward all my emails across to one master Gmail account that is not attached to an eBay. Images and beacons need to be disabled. This lets me check the activity on all my accounts at once.
Changing IP's takes 30 seconds, so long as you have a good method to track them switching between eBay accounts as and when I need.
I have the dispatch time staggered in my largest ebay accounts. The days dispatch deadline for account 1 is 2pm, account 2 is 2:20, account 3 is 2:40 ect. This gives me the time to log into each account to print of all the days orders. After I have gone though all the accounts I have around an hour to get everything packed and posted. I then spend the evening going though the accounts answering messages. Works well as a system for me :) |

Sandy D | 11-03-2013 12:05 PM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts Yes.
You have to switch users and change ip for each account.
I run 15-20 accounts per week with 95% or so ending Sundays.
I seldom use BIN so everything will end on Sunday.
I go to each account as I have them timed to end so I dont have to go back and forth.
I send invoices and print shipping. If not paid right away I go back tomorrow and do it.
Sundays is a busy day for me, Mondays I head to a flea market at 7 am then start packing and head to the PO.
Lots of work but rewards are fantastic.
Time consuming yes but if you want to have multiple successful accounts you have to put the time in. |
Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts I don't understand why everyone finds it too hard to handle a few accounts, It's all about being organized....If your not organized then I guess it's time to get organized. |
helpmelol | 11-03-2013 08:27 PM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts Yes, but most of you probably have auctions. I have buy it nows.
Let's say I create 5 different stealth accounts. I list 10 items on each account and it goes something like this;
On a particular day;
- Account 1; 2 items sold
- Account 2; 1 items sold
- Account 3; 4 items sold
- Account 4; 1 item sold
- Account 5; 3 items sold
So on that particular day, I have to log-in the PayPal linked to each account (or eBay) to print the invoices and get their addresses. These are not send by e-mail, you have to login to get their addresses and e-mails. I can not login to 5 different eBays and/or PayPals from 1 IP address, it must be 5 different IP's.
So this means I have to change my IP 5 times that day, right? And that is time consuming, for me it takes around 10 minutes to change my IP (distance between router, waiting time, etc.).
So we're talking about +/- 1 hour here just to change the IP's. And this would be for 5 accounts only.
Some people were talking about 20 or even 40 accounts. Changing IP's would take a lot of time. And you have to write every IP you have used down to prevent using it again in the future.
That's like 20-40 IP's per day.
That's insane, there must be some trick to do this without switching IP after every minor action on one of your accounts. |
Sandy D | 11-03-2013 10:03 PM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts No trick.
You have to do it for every account.
Why do BIN?
I run my items Sunday to Sunday, actually found in my years of selling starting thing slow and letting them run for 7 days increases profits.
I run a few BIN but if you research it, you run 5 accounts Sunday to Sunday and spend more time on more accounts your profits will increase.
I work on average 14-16 per day every day on different things, such as buying, attending auctions, flea markets, buying online, listing, selling, making accounts etc.
You get out of it what you want to put into it.
The breaks I get are usually to spend time with my family, do things such as going to the ocean, taking kids to school activities etc. but still average on and off around 14+ hours a day.
I do most of my thinking and hard work after everyone is in bed at night. |
Dmshark25 | 11-04-2013 04:15 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts Yep nothing like work overnight Sandy, 4am and I'm listing packaging and it's my favorite time because there's peace and quite and I get lots done
Just did my favorite part and a little motivation of this hard work and checked off and matched all the deposits that came in an hour ago to 12 banks , gives me a nice second wind to go another 6 hours before my 2 hour siesta at noon European style
I love this business , I always had a business or involved in family business from 12- 33, I worked long hours (food service industry) but never got that satisfaction I get now of more hours more$$$$ so simple these days |

Nothing better then making your own hours and getting satisfaction out of what you enjoy.
I pull a lot of late nighters and do my best work when it is quiet. |
helpmelol | 11-04-2013 08:25 AM | Re: question to those with multiple ebay accounts I can't do auctions.. it's a risk, lot's of the things I sell, could sell for a lot less in auctions. I can sell them for $50 as BIT, and probably make only $20 with auctions (collector's items). |
