Can I safely stealth in USA from the UK?
 

Hi guys,

Question for the USA lot!

One of my businesses sells virtual items, and the market is much bigger in the USA then in the UK.

So my question is simple, can I safely stealth a USA account from the UK?

IP address is not really an issue as I work with servers and networks and with have our own IP range in the USA.

My main concerns are SSN? And getting the money from a USA vba to my Uk account?

I have never used USA ebay so all advice welcome!

To make sure the accounts created safely I will purchase one off a member here.

1. If you get US IP, you would have to spread sales out and keep sales resonable to avoid the SSN request.

2. You can't withdraw to USA VBA - you need a true bank account (you could look into Payoneer or other bank card withdrawal services but fees are higher).

Rather than deal with IP and all that, why dont you register your eB account on .co.uk site THEN log into the .com site and make an auction listing/sale on it...I do this for .ca accounts rather than making all my accounts US-based...just an idea...

Payoneer would work well

You can also look into get a US account (you can do this from the UK, or travel to the US to get one)

I was not aware I could just log in to ebay.com and list items in America. Does it show up on ebay.com as if it was listed from an American account?

It can - if you change the location of sale shipping (option in the Auction listing window)...you change the location.

Just be clear with your buyers

Just sorted a new stealth account, will build up a few national sales first so its solid and then target other countries!
