Vanilla Visa Prepaid is different from the Vanilla Visa Gift Card. Get the Vanilla Visa GIFT card, register the stealth address zipcode online and yes you need it right away to register the paypal account.

Is there a certain amount I should get? Or is any amount good. Also could I just use gift cards for my PP accounts. This is the only step I was missing.

The lowest amount you can load on a Vanilla Visa Gift Card is $20 + $4.95 activation fee.

Of course, it's all most of us use...If you can find the following Gift Cards, they work great: They come in MasterCard and Visa...
