Default A little help, weird restriction out of nowhere.

I am going to break this down
I have been using my legit account since 2005 to sell, amazing feedback, awesome sales.
-Today I go to revise something and it says I have a restriction because I was linked to another account. I never received a message or anything in my inbox.
-I call and they tell me it does not have to do with being linked to any other account and that it is indefinite due to open cases and a trademark violation.
- I advise them I have never lost a case, and I resolved the trademark issue. They double checked and found that I was correct and had zero issues on my account. They put in a request for a re-evaluation.

I am however linked with some suspended accounts with outstanding balances. I do not mind paying these balances if it will get rid of some of my risk.

Should I pay these balances off? I figured I would use a prepaid cc. What do you guys think of all this?

So this aspect is true, correct? IF you pay these balances off, you are still HIGHLY possible to lose the accound...eB doesnt like the funny business of linkage....while paying the fees off is the right way for business, don't think for a SECOND that this account is safe if you do so.

In fact, as it stands, your account is on a high level of possible shutdown - never know when...

the real question is, do u have anything to do with this other account? if the answer is yes then eB somehow linked you. Meaning u need to move on, if u have nothing to do with this mystery acct (which I doubt) then fight eB and have them find the glitch.

One way to really piss off eBay is to not pay your bill. Ebay is like any other business. They are not a charity and are pretty hard on those that do not pay their dues.

Even if you do pay the balance off, there is no guarantee eBay will keep their promise and let you continue to list/sell on their site. They deem you a risk based on history.

Best of luck reinstating the account; if you are successful, be conscience of the fact that it is on high scrutiny.

Best option is stealth. I would be opening up a few stealths in parallel to your fight for reinstatement.

Good luck,

The other issue for the OP is MULTIPLE accounts that owe money...even worse for eB....they will enjoy your payment but this account has been compromised. I would not expect much for the future life of this account regardless

Well today is one of the best days of my life. I have been calling for days now and kept getting the same "your account has been indefinitely restricted from selling. I did not give up, I called again a little while ago and spoke to an actual, compassionate, understanding, and SMART rep who reinstated all of my accounts! The old accounts that owed money were technically not mine. To say the least, the rightful owner paid them off. I had to pay him a visit. The rep made a good choice because these account are 100% legit, customers love me, I love them, and my products are awesome! Plus I make ebay a lot of money. What a beautiful story, I know...!!

@hazy, great story - glad it worked out.

There is a lesson here about the importance of the agent you speak to: if you get a bad one, worth a try to reach someone who actually cares somewhat
