Really need help on merchant account for Ebay
 

I have searched forum for this topic, either it is too outdated or I missed it, I did not find right answer for my questions. So I wonder if anybody here can help with this.

I just called Ebay to ask as a new seller, can we use merchant account to accept payment and if Ebay will require us to send in merchant statement. The rep. said Ebay will not require us to send merchant statement. I said I saw a lot of place mentioned that, and asked her to confirm with her supervisor. She gets back said we can immediately link our merchant account without Ebay requiring merchant statement.
Anybody has recent experience to open new seller account with merchant account attached as payment method?

1. A lot of people mentioned that merchant statement will be required for account after 2007. So does that mean we have to get 2006 account or 2007 is also ok?
2. If Ebay asked for merchant statement, can I use Stealth Account information on merchant statement or will they call merchant service to verify name and address, etc.?
3. If I need to use the merchant account that previous used on my suspended Ebay account, can I request a new API and transaction key from authorize.net? Will that be enough to avoid linking?

Any other suggestions or points that I missed will be greatly appreciated.

@OP, even if you get an account from 2006/2007, you could be asked for documentation - it doesnt mean that are immune from ID request.

I do know that eB very rarely calls the Merchant service once large amounts are being processed but initially, it is rare that they call

Thank you for your reply. My concern is if they will link the new account to old ebay account if I use the same merchant account service even I use a new API and transaction key from Authorize.net.

Never a given that ebay will not ask for documentation. Need to be ready.

Using new info is part of the issue.

If your account gets manually reviewed, you are open to issues. Say you are selling the same items, then even new info may link you.
