Please help this is a first time shipping /getting ripped off problem

Shipped priorty .
Printed shipping off ebay . Now the buyer says he never received the item.

I checked the tracking number says delivered . I think he is lying cause he contacted me the very next day saying he never got this. He wanted the tracking number but the number was sent to him when I printed it out.

I mean who really knows besides him and god ???

so what do I need to do about this??

It is about a 180.00 item

I'm guessing no signature confirmation or insurance????

If not than they may go the buyers direction if u have no other evidence that it was shipped

Anything $80 and up I out delivery confirmation for $2 more u can breathe easier with all the scammers out there

But good luck

If he messaged u thru ebay saying he did not receive the item the day after purchase tell ebay to look at that message they are able to read any message, that may help ur case

If it is a confirmed address on PayPal. Sometime on eBay they will file a case and even get there money back. But it does not come out of your pocket. If the address is confirmed. I would report them to eBay and add to your block list. I have notice personally. As I update my block lists often and have noticed lots of numbers for example 8888888@deleted at the end of my lists. Figure these are NARU either users or Buyers. So I do think sharing problematic buyers to block etc with other sellers and reporting them is important.

Usually these type of buyers I tell them to talk to there delivery person and neighbors etc. Lots of times that resolves it but you never know. I believe for PayPal if it is a confirmed address you only need sig for over $250 item. But still some buyers try to test you to see if you will send them another for free etc. I would just give them the tracking and say it was delivered blah blah blah at this time etc.

In the past I have sent the customer a very nice email stating how sorry I was and how I will file a police report with the local police department (which I wouldn't do) 9/10 times they immediately are able to locate the package mysteriously and problem solved. Amazes me how many dishonest people are out there.

I do pretty much the same.

Except that I tell the toerag buyer that I am including their details for the claim with USPS so we both can have resolution.....

I am so overcome with regret they have been treated so badly by USPS, and just know they will work with me to find that lost parcel.
Amazing how that helps them
(Bah)

I esculated the case and ebay refunded his money and didn't require me to pay it back. buyer protection and seller protection this has happened twice now and a few packages that got lost in transit all on the same day or two still got one more case and I just esculated it so fingers crossed but I guessing it will go well I hope anyways but still no faith

I'm glad this was resolved okay. In the future, you can also tell the buyer you filed a report with postal inspectors. You can actually file a complaint online and get a legit complaint case #. From my experience, nothing ever comes of it but it may get the buyer to back off.

From my experience, if you can also track down a local Post Office station's number, the manager there is more than happy to track down a lost package. It hurts their failure %s if there is a case filed with them, especially now that they are offering minimal insurance on all Priority Mail packages.
