What did I do wrong? paypal. address can't be verified
 

This is probably a dumb mistake, but I am new here and not sure what i did wrong.
I have tried to set up my new paypal account. At the section where it asks for
a credit card I used VISA 'Season's Greetings' that I bought at WalMart.
I got a message that the card does not match the address that I gave (stealth
address of course). So is it the card that I used? Am I suppose to use a virtual credit card? What went wrong, and what am I suppose to do now?
I would really appreciate any help. I need to know what to do ASAP.

Did you register the cards zip code first?

You need to make sure the zip code on the gift card matches the addresses zip code of paypal

No I didn't.
I don't even know how to register the card.
I just purchased it, load an amount of $25 and that's it.

** OK, I just registered another gift card (vanilla master card) I purchased.
I went on the website and registered the zip code of the address I am going
to use. So basically from this point if I use the vanilla card i registered, I can
use any address as long as it has the zip code I registered it with?

Not sure if the visa one I tried to use with paypal would work. If anyone knows...

Sorry, but I never used gift cards. Is this the way to register all gift
cards?

I'm new here as well and purchased an American Express "Full Service Reloadable Prepaid Card" today. I'm not sure but I think you may have purchased a $25 GIFT CARD? Does your card say it is "reloadable" or "direct deposit" or "online pay" or "no credit check"..it should say ANY of these if you purchased the correct card, again, I am new so please DON'T take my word for it! Just trying to help you figure out what you did/didn't do.

the "visa season's Greetings" says: non-reloadable.
the vanilla master card I just registered (please note I edit my last message
here) doesn't say non re-loadable or anything like that. But I went on the
vanilla website and registered with the zip code of my stealth so it should work
I guess.
Not sure what to do with the visa. I couldn't find a website to register it, so I
guess I wouldn't be able to use it for pp.
Well, I have a gift card for xmas for someone I guess.

Stick to Vanilla Visa Gift Cards.

OK. So I understand that before I go ahead and the cc to paypal I have to log in to vanilla website and register the card with my zip code. So by doing that
pp will approve my card, or is there anything else I am suppose to do?

Just get the expuse code and pop it into paypal to get the account CC verified.

Keep in mind, you have 3 chances to enter the code.

You will find the expuse code on the online account history of your VISA card.

Sometimes, your pp will just confirm the card without need the expuse code - rare but happens, saves you a step

I checked my vanilla account. It doesn't show the expuse code. So RSOT
I guess I am one of the rare cases. Paypal approved the account after I registered my prepaid card with the zip code. So I guess I am good.
I did however, made a stupid mistake and made a purchase using echeck
from my bank. From what I read it should not be an issue unless paypal
manually check the transaction and see the mismatch names. Oh, well...
Thing is, I want to get some feedback before i start to sell. So for the future I understand my best option would be to use the money on my cc gift card only?
What if I deposit money from my bank account to paypal PRIOR to making any purchase? would that be a risky move?

Ok so you got automatic approval. One time eCheck is unlike to cause problems but dont keep doing this - use the money on the cc gift card - keep it simple

Will do rsot. Thanks for the tip (one out of many you already gave me).
Not sure if there was any discussion about it, but is there any cc gift card
that gives the option to reload money in it (after the first time you purchase it)
so I can use it for longer, or is it just that I have to load a bigger amount
when I first purchase it?

He mentions Vanilla Visa cards.

I dont think the reloadable gift cc's work so well for PP but - wait for other ppl to chime in

Yes, I did. I will use it with my next stealth, just wasn't sure about the option to
reload gc, and how do I do that.
