Answer 14 questions correctly to sell on eBay again vero/tutorial
 

So i listed something vero on my stealth account, genuine with receipts but had listing removed and got hit with a 7 day suspension,

7 days later i go to list on the account and I've got to take a tutorial and answer 14 questions correctly to be able to sell on my account again, anyone had this before?

Yes many time, it's normal when you get hit with a VERO warning.

Oh right never seen it before but never usually list vero so that's prob why.

Never seen this myself, but I don't really sell VERO. I have seen the shill bidding on once though many years ago. Pretty simply

Never seen this. I got a vero last year for 7 days but no test. The vero was for photo that I recall.

I remember the VERO tests used to be like this:

question1.html
question2.html
question3.html
etc.

So I would just change the URL to question10.html and then answer question 10 and it would consider the test completed and let me sell again.

This was years ago... I doubt it's still like that today but ya never know with eBay.

Wow, talk about dusting off an old file in the Brain. Last time I saw that in the States here was like 06-08. Crazy you even mentioned it. That brings me back for sure.

Do all vero come with a suspension is that what the violation is a 7 day suspension for the first offense??

I think it depends on how blatant the VerO claim is. If it is the actual company that has rights to the product & they are trying to remove your listing, the 7 day first offense can go out the window.

If its something like wording or smaller mistake, you can receive the progressive warnings.

I had an account last 3 or 4 VeRO claims...each warning got progressively more serious. First was 7 day, then 14, 1 month and finally indefinite.

At the time, I had no idea what VeRO was and ignored the first 2 warnings. I had mentioned something in my listing towards the effect of... my item was similar to X item. I didn't know that wasn't allowed. By the time I reacted, damage was already done.

And no, I didn't have any questions to go through to get reinstated to sell again. Once the time passed, the system allowed me to relist.

But again, this was years ago, so its possible this tutorial is something new to educate people about VeRO items.

Reminds of issues way back when I got hit with 7 day suspension for eBooks (digital stuff + feedback manipulation If I recall correctly)...questions and such. Dont recall how many though.

Needless to say OP, don't relist the same item even when reinstated.
