Reading emails

I set up both my eBay and PayPal account on outlook. If I read and respond emails through outlook, will this action do any bad to me? I mean, I'm not logging into eBay, but I'm replying emails from customers and eBay. Is this allowed?
Thanks.

Re: Reading emails

You run the risks of beacons being let loose onto the user. Eb/PP have these and its best to reply to emails in the user account that the accounts were set up with.

If you just want to READ emails, -Make sure the images are NOT displayed.

So I should always log in Gmail and reply the emails on the web page? But it's just very... annoying when you sell 200 orders a day... :(

What about reading and replying through your browser through direct login to gmail, but not from a specific user account and with the images disabled, would that be traceable?

More research on your part to avoid replying and causing a link - why dont you just stick to replying to messages inside eB? whether 2 orders or 200...the goal is NOT to link

I don't see any problems using that method. What will be seen is the IP address of the GMail servers, which is fine.

You will be fine doing this.

EB cannot see your IP address so long as you dont click links and all images and bacons are disabled.

Re: Reading emails

Ok let's complicate a bit:
You probably use gmail access sharing to easily browse your many mailboxes, right? At least i have all my gmails accessible through a main one, I've got them stored in a bookmark folder, i click '"open all in tabs" and can check all my gmails in matter of seconds.
However if i directly reply while accessing one gmail through the main one, if i send a mail (reply to a eB message) on the sent mail this will be posted
"Sent by XXXOriginal GmailXXX through XXXMainGmailNameXXX".
I bypass this by logging directly to a gmail if i have to reply, but is it a real linking issue, or stealthers paranoia?

I use my gmail account on my phone & never been linked for same. I would not use and eb or PP on my cell phone.
