So, I recently tried to begin making money on eBay by selling and succumbed much to my embarrassment to a scam which ended up with the termination of my PayPal account.

Having dealt with the shock of that, I then heard about 'stealth' accounts and with reluctance as there is no other recourse am beginning the new journey of trying to get back on eBay and PayPal to start fresh with my new career of making money selling on eBay.

I still can't get my head around it all. They (PayPal) require verification and cross-referencing with bank accounts and it seems one has constantly got to look over one's shoulder, as it were, and make sure one doesn't trip up and even then it seems people eventually get found out again. It makes me weary.

I'm in the UK and therefore decided to post here. I need and would love some support with this, maybe Skype even, if someone would be willing to talk me through it.

Having someone dedicated to walk you through is a bit much. Once you read through the forum and the stealth guide to grasp the basics, you will get the hang of things.

Fair-enough. However, I did buy the Stealth Guide and its still not straight-forward to my mind.

I would have to disagree, the guide is broken down step by step. What part of stealth doesn't make sense?

Its too embarrassing to admit.

I agreed to list items on eBay for a couple people. Spoke to them on the phone and they didn't sound like rogues; on the contrary very educated and they answered my immediate superficial questions as to why they required me to list for them, such as economy of scale, and tax (evasion) purposes.

Before I knew it I had £12k of sales in my PayPal account. That's when the enormity of the reality hit me. Sent £100 across on the first sale and when they didn't provide a tracking ID I quickly woke up to what was actually happening.

All I can say in my poor defense is I was very green to it all. Had never been a seller on eBay. Never used and was not familiar with Western Union (the means by which they asked to be paid) or drop shipping and these type of scams going on out there.

I immediately refunded (within a couple days of their purchases) and apologized to everyone. So, no one got hurt or too inconvenienced bar the disappointment of not getting their great deals for Christmas. Some even left positive feedback! Regardless, PayPal have terminated my account.

So, that's what happened.

1. New Bank Account,

2. New email
3. Got a pay-as-you-go sim card to confirm eBay seller account with and for PayPal.

What remains?

1. Clear all cookies from computer.

2. Make new IP

Was thinking of getting VPN anyway. Should get one with fixed IP - yes? Earth VPN and VPN4ALL are two i found that provide this.

3. New eBay account.
I was wondering about the name? Since I want to be a seller, is it best to use a professional-sounding name? Not one's own name?

I dont clear cookies - I make new user accounts (windows) and designate one user account per eb account.

I get about creating new user accounts. When I said clear cookies I meant first time round to disassociate the computer from the old account.

I have a new telephone number, but how do I get a new address?

I intend to only create another new account. Hopefully, if I look after it properly I shouldn't need more.

But, I was thinking if I was making several accounts instead of creating different user accounts one could also have one user account with several browsers?

One would just have to remember which browser belongs to which account.

IE, Opera, FF, Chrome, Safari would be 5 different accounts on one user account for eg.

Should work?
