AMAZON NEW POLICY--VERy strict
 

Our Product Compliance team is currently reviewing this product for hazardous materials and other products restricted from FBA. This process occurs on all new ASINs that are converted to FBA to ensure that the units are eligible for FBA. The product will not be accepted until we have completed our review and determined it meets Amazon's product compliance standards. This process generally takes between 4-7 business days. You can monitor the status of ASINs under review in the Hazmat Status Change Report found under Reports > Fulfillment. This item must be removed.

I am not an expert, but I DO know that any product classified as containing "hazardous materials" can be subject to all kinds of laws, federal, state and local. Selling such items could be a nightmare, as you could end up violating a state or local law without even knowing about it.

It is hardly surprising that Amazon subjects these items to higher scrutiny.
