How I run my eBay account.

Been awhile since I posted a thread so here it goes.

How I run my eBay account:

I personally, really don't care and that's probably what's helped me bring my account to PS status. But... I give super stellar service to my customers. My customers rave about my shipping speed and communication.

Now, I'm not like many of you and have three other sources of income, outside of eBay, so I'm not going to lose sleep over my account getting KO'd. And I have only one account.

I sell mostly stuff I find with some new stuff thrown in here and there and even some DS'ing items. I don't want to give to many details, but I am no way a heavy hitter. I basically use eBay to earn some xtra cash to buy myself stuff and cover small bills like cell and insurance payments.

Most of my sales come from stuff I have found. I get all kinds of stuff which brings in $10 here $20 there and the occasional one or two hundred dollar item. Most stuff I find or people give to me for free.

I've abused both my eBay and Paypal account by doing silly things which are not advised here and have said some pretty stupid things to eBay CS like, I don't want to use my real phone number as I don't want my personal info on eBay etc... . This being said under the least positive situations for myself which most anyone here would strongly advise against saying at the time. I would detail but it's just not wise.

Who in the world would say or do some of things I've said or done if they were trying to stealth. So my back door point is what newbie is going to have all their t's crossed and i's dotted?

I'm not advising what I've done but sometimes obsessive obfuscation is not good. Who knows, maybe my account would have been DQ'd long ago if not for my selling habits.

My advise is to build no more than one account per week. EBay doesn't want a seller to have hundreds of stealth accounts but I'm no heavy seller so maybe, I'm out of the loop.

and whats happens when that one account gets burned? I sit around waiting for 3 months until I can start getting fairly established....

eBay doesnt know I have 30-40 eBay account because theyre all under different names. Ridiculous post.

You absolutely need stealth backups in the event that any account goes down.

To rely only on one account is ludicrous and places a lot of faith in the eb/pp system working in your favour all the time...which is not wise.

The point of my post was to show how far you can run to the edge without going over and to show that if done correctly, you can get to PS status with excellent CS and sub par account maintenance.

The account is over a year old.
