I got this today on one my 2 year old account,
1. Important: Continue improving to avoid selling limitations,
This my second month getting this, I had miss a week and ship late for one batch of orders because of personal reason in the family. I sent everyone a message that I a m late, but I got low marks from some on shipping time. But right now I am improving, but I had my items reduce per month,
2. While in middle putting listings today, I put few listings and I receive
"MC999 Action needed: Please contact ebay Customer Support"
"Dear --------

What does the MC999 Action needed, mean? was about my seller rating or did they link me to something, Everything I have is stealth down to the ip, and address. I am very carefully and have a list. So what could they want?

Never heard of a message like that before.
Sounds like a phishing email.
Sign into your ebay account and go check if you acgtually received this message from ebay by looking at your inbox - there should be a copy of that mesasge there. If there isnt then you know its a phishing attempt.

I can't list, I did get 8 cases this month and solved most them most due to slow shipping, I got one neutral , and my shipping time is under standard, I got the message today that I'm below standard and to improve it's my 2 month getting this and the mc999 on the same day.... Any idea, should I call.?

Wow markflood - 8 cases....even if you solved...since you can't list, you are going to have to contact eB (calling is up to you) but...I have a feeling that this account is toast (going to be hard to appeal NOW...maybe in few months)

I had 8 cases at the beginning of the month, Just asking about there item has been shipped, Since I was out of town due family issues, I got all my cases solve and my items delivered and closed by the buyer. Its been 3 weeks since the case, I thought I moved on.
I didn't lose my seller privileges, I can still see that see the item I can sell is 120 a month, but i can't list till I call them.

They said I had to contact them

Just thought I ask here, if anyone had a similar message than this????
Maybe there want me to call to ask why I had so many cases, since I usually have 0 cases, I am improving in my seller rating since then,

I understand your concern markflood but eB won't buy that "out of town for family issues". I have had people tell me of similar cases about not being able to list following some cases....they have called eB to try and straighten it out and then been hit with a full suspension of selling privileges.

I am not saying that it will happen to you (and am hoping it wont) but...it has been known to happen, especially after your type of scenario

because I want to know if worth doing it, plus I am getting scared about this,
Also what information should I have when I call and what will they ask me,
Should i have name, birth, address, and what else do i need?

also i would like to add, they did not delete my postings currently running. . I have over dozen items up and been selling the same thing at the same rate as i always have, but i can't list any new items till I call... :(
Also the 8 cases were 3 weeks ago, all are closed now since they got there item, most customers understood why its late, but the few didn't understand. Why am I hit with this mc999 now? because around the 20th they automatically review accounts for seller ratting? I have over 1000 feedback and just one recent neutral this month. I was probably better off not selling anything this month. :(

The low DSRs most likely triggered the soft restriction.

You may have no choice but to call to get the soft restriction lifted. :(

Hope it works - these soft restrictions can be worse with the wrong agent. Tip: if you get a loser agent, retry for a different agent - that can work

update: called few days ago, they said I just need to improve my seller ratting and it was below standard and do it faster, They said I can list now. I told him, I will ship it faster.

Everything good, now it helps to call,
But will watch my shipping like a hawk so I can improve.

yeah there more to slteath, good customer service, man ebay been so strict lately... you can get banned if you have 2-5 people complain out of 1000 positive feedback
