Question about LLC stealth
 

I want to use a llc( John Doe llc) to create my eb and pp accounts. Would eb or pp want to verify my Identity in the the form of a picture Id at any point? Would I have to show them an ID with John Doe on it? Also stealth says use virtual address. Is that a good idea. Does eb or pp have a way of tracking rented vitrtual addresses?

Sorry for these questions. I'm just still trying to wrap my head around stealth. Some people on here say they have over a dozen, but I'm still trying to get just one going.

Any advice would help. Thanks :confused:

eBay is unlikely to ask for a picture ID, although it DOES happen. PayPal, on the other had, very well could at some point. To avoid this, they must believe that your account poses little risk. Ship everything with tracking, be professional at all times and keep your monthly sales UNDER $5,000. Why $5k? Because that is the point where most merchant account processors will start looking more closely at your account - they call it underwriting - to determine their level of risk. If that happens, they could easily decide to run your credit report. Since it is under a stealth name, it would most likely come back as "Subject Not Found". At that point, PayPal will be suspicious and will likely ask you for a copy of your driver's license or state id card, a copy of a utility bill, bank statements and other documents. Obviously, it is best to avoid this.

They do not seem to be tracking things like UPS addresses. They are more likely to be tolerated if the account is an LLC since many small businesses use UPS addresses. That, of course, assumes that they found out the address was a mail drop. Anyone can get this information pretty easily, so I have to assume that eBay/PayPal/Amazon could get it if they want it.

Much better to have a P O Box than a virtual address.

ebay/paypal are pretty much in the know about the virtual address scenario.

Using the method I suggested works well.

eB and PP can see virtual rental addresses with a manual search so be careful OP - especially popular services.
