Stealth questions re addresses
 

Firstly- hi. I'm new here. :bounce:

I'm about to try to set up a new "stealth" eBay and Paypal- but have some questions before I do.

On the topic of naming the account- can I use a middle name? For example, if my name was Alexandra Beatrice Cole could I use Beatrice Cole as my name on Paypal and then if I was required to give ID show ID as Alexandra Beatrice Cole? Surely this is a "name variation" as recommended in the stealth guide.

I'm thinking of hiring a virtual address as none of my family members will let me use their ID. For example if I hired a virtual address already on paypal- for example 23 Bobbins Lane Bristol- if someone else was registered under this address (as I believe they are with virtual addresses) will my account be banned as well??

I'd appreciate it if UK users could recommend some virtual address providers (ideally payable monthly...) and what cards you signed up to use for your accounts.

Name variation is doable but not recommended these days.

ID provided to e/b or p/p MUST match registered name EXACTLY

Virtual address is good but as you say could be an issue if used by someone else.

For obvious reasons not many people are likely to share their virtual address provider.

As for cards, entropay is probably the best option for UK users

Regarding address, why dont you look at a postal box rental? Prob cost the same amount as the virtual address and would mean you have a viable physical address for returns etc.

As fro cards, again entorpay is good but i also like 3V as that works well with both eBay and Amazon

tmastermind- from what I understand, virtual address works like a PO box? I have at least found a company that will accept mail for me and forward it/let me collect as I am reasonably local. Not bad at £10 a month and I can receive upto 50 items of mail. I wont have much sent there- my verification for selling increases perhaps and I am going to get a prepaid card.

I read in stealth that sometimes eBay disallow PO boxes as this brings up a red flag?

PO Box should work ok for business accounts but will pose a potential risk for personal accounts.

I've been on ebay for 15 years, and never had anything but a PO box...never even had anyone at ebay question it.

The OP is in the UK, unless you operate UK accounts also with P.O. Box and a lot of experience one must be careful with giving advice.

Virtual address could cause problems if the account goes under manual review as well - does happen in the UK
