Deciding my next steps for stealth - Advice needed

Okay so I have 12 accounts now. 6 of them have limits raised to 100 and 6 of them still have their limits at 10. The ones still at a limit of 10 range in ages from 2 months old to 4 months old. I do expect some of them to be getting increases soon.

I made a fairly big purchase, and am getting a healthy assortment of items. What I am now deciding is whether I should burn my 100 accounts (and probably be hit with the 200/20k EIN/SSN request on some of those accounts), or should I start making more stealth accounts?

I see two approaches here: sell heavy on what I have now and be prepared to SSN/EIN verify my accounts since this will inevitably happen if I keep selling on them, OR spread sales to the point where SSN/EIN is not a worry. Which approach is preferred? Fewer "strong" accounts, or many "weaker" accounts.

How many SSN/EIN verified accounts do you guys run in comparison to your total number of stealth accounts?

I have read a lot about EIN verification, but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. I'd rather not give paypal an EIN or anything of the sort. But then again, managing 10 strong son/ein verified accounts is a lot easier than managing 30 unverified weaker accounts.

Any advice on what my approach to stealth should be? Thank you kind friends.

I have a problem with your math.

Your first paragraph says you have 12 accounts. ( That I can believe).

Then you go onto say shall I burn my 100 accounts? Is this a typo or wishful thinking? Or do you mean kill off the accounts with the 100 listing limits?

By ROTATING sales between all accounts and keeping selling rates lower...you can avoid the request for SSN/EIN...

Hey Greenie,

Yes I have 12 accounts. 6 have limits raised to 100/month. 6 still have limits at 10/month.

When I said burn my accounts, I meant sell heavy on the six 100/month accounts I have (list 100/100 items, or close to it).

Yes, I rather NOT give paypal a SSN/EIN. Something about it makes me uneasy. But I don't know if I'm taking the wrong approach. Should I fear the process of giving PayPal an EIN on a stealth account?

Is it better to sell heavy on fewer accounts that are SSN/EIN verified, or sell lighter on many accounts that are not?

1. Lot of posts about EIN on the forum for you to read through.

2. Even if accounts are verified, sell light and spread sales.

3. REALLY depends on what you are selling too - if risky, problems can come in at any time.

Never give any kind of ssn or ein to Paypal under any condition, even if it means losing a solid account. Those who do might have it come back and bite them in the a$$. The one good thing we have with Paypal is they are not an official bank and don't require ssn's by law. Ebay and Paypal are the last bastions of freedom in some respects. One of them being "anonymous".
