UK mail post office link???
 

hi folks.
ive searched around but not came up with anything,:confused:
i think im being well over cautious on thinking here but bare in mind im a newbie:p so its allowed! and im just arming myself with any knowledge i can.

when you add a parcel tracking number into a completed auction marked disptched ,
if the track is clicked it obviously shows were the parcel was posted from,the exact post office location .now i know different sellers can be from the same town but can it be linked in anyway or cause a problem if theres what looks like a trend too it related to previously banned or restricted accounts

and for example if ebay themselfs click that track number for any reason and see your registered to an account that could be anything upto 100 miles away with it being a stealth so why the hell would you be travelling so far too post and maybe daily ending up in you getting flagged

You are looking into this a bit too much.

People can commute long distances to work and post on their lunchbreak. Your items might have been dispatched from your "Head Office", based in "wherever".

Two of the many reasons it is possible to come up with IF you are ever asked.

In doing stealth for 5 years, I have only once been asked why the return address on an item posted to France was different to the Ebay registered address. I responded that a different address was used to process returns as there was always someone in to collect the mail.

yeah i thought it was a bit ott,well that clears that up for me.

and yeah ive been wandering about this whole returns thing, and trying to persaude buyers who want to return items to do so to my dfrnt real address and the probs that arise with that , either ebay or paypal getting wind of me asking the buyer and getting banned for that or ebay actually reading mails within their own msge system if i cant keep it to outisde email with the buyer or the buyers complains direct to ebay or pp about me asking

or ebay pp contacting me to ask why im doing that ,or again back to reading my mails and noticin the requested return addy was the same as that on previous banned or retricted account

To add to my previous post, it is ALWAYS best practice to have access to your stealth account addresses.

Look into mail forwarding companies.

im not wanting to use anyone i knows address incase it causes them a prob you see and any i would have been comfy using have an ebay or paypal or both allready sadly ,so a no go

thing is forwarding companies isnt viable money wise to me as i only sell 4 or 5 used collectable items per week on ebay .allthough those items are vauled between £100.00-£200.00 each
its still not really plausable for me to paying anyone else for anyhing .
im not a business as such

You can get forwarding or rentable mail boxes for less than £15 a month. Some even much cheaper

Only takes a few returns a years is each of your items is worth £100-£200 to be well worth it.

To add to James post, what I do is rent a PO Box and a Ma and Pa location....I then add my Business Name which has "Ebay Return" in the Business name, so if I have to have someone return an item they can send it there, and if they ask I tell them what EbayorBust mentioned about this company handling my returns.

ah right
i didnt know they were as cheap as that .im not familiar with rent mail boxes at all :s
knowing my luck there will be nothing like this available to me within my area :doh:
