Paypal limited - ebay still open
 

Hi Guys,

My non-stealth ebay is still up and running but i have just had my paypal limited. It has to do with the number of paypal buyer claims against me over xmas.

Has anyone been limited for this reason and successfully had it lifted?


Got the warning:

Why is my account access limited?

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

28 Feb 2014 : When you signed up for your PayPal account, you agreed to our User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. We've had to permanently limit your account because some of your recent transactions violated this policy.

You'll be able to withdraw any money in your account 180 days after your last transaction. This is to ensure that we can cover any chargebacks that may be filed on previous transactions during this period. We'll email you when you can withdraw your money.

If you've any references to PayPal on websites you may own, please remove them.

yes limited for claims along time ago and nothing can be done really

what are my options now in terms of attaching a new paypal to that ebay account as I rely on that account for my main sales?

I am sure someone will confirm but am pretty sure you will need a new ebay and paypal account

ive only ever concentrated on ebay stealth and amazon ghost - never read the paypal forums then out of no-where boom paypal limitation.

would i be able to use a newly created paypal stealth straight away for sales or would i have to limit what i sell to not raise any flags ?

I only sell 30 items a day but the paypal payment alerts not hitting my iphone for a few hours is already killing me especially as my Ebay account is just sitting there fine.

crap so my Ebay account is looking like toast aswell?

I did get a limit restriction on my ebay account 3 days ago from £36,000 a month to £20,000 but i thought that would be it.

So I have a dead pp and a good ebay - Lets say ebay isn't toast - is it just a case of creating a stealth paypal using ebay stealth guidelines?

Not a good option - the new PP can go down too due to linking. You would have to explore other options like Skrill.

Stealth applies to making completely new eB and pp

I have just hah a paypal go down but eBay OK. Can't bothered with Skrill etc as you won't get the sales and seems like hard work so easier to just move to one of my back up accounts.

As an exercise I am thinking of changing the address on the eB account to another country
( i have already pulled the listings, as there were only 7 anyway)

Waiting a month, changing the email, waiting and changing the surname and user ID over say three months. Then using a VPS to log on and add a new paypal with the same ID.

I will let you know how long I last!!!

Got nothing to loose really, what'ya think..??

P.S the paypal limitation was not due to an item sold on ebay but via another site.

Nothing to lose but time...it MAY go down...never know when...if you want to risk, might as well.

p.s. I have experimented in different ways in the past so...just saying, that it can go down anytime but maybe you'll be lucky :)

Thanks for the reply.

I know it will go down eventually but realistically I can't see skirll and ccnow bringing in many sales and it sounds like a lot of work persuading buyers. The easiest option for me would be to move on to a new stealth and will do that today as I have a 'dormant' account with a 50 limit, so I haven't really lost much.....maybe just fancy a challenge!

I'll let you know when it's up an running, I could so a sweep stake on how many days I'll survive before the guillotine drops on me!
