Ahhh Bollocks - Help!
 

Hi, haven`t posted in a while. Reason - Ebay and Paypal are running along nicely.

Its a new account, but something happened that I think I overlooked. After verifying my account, and selling a few items, a month later, my ebay invoice was due. The direct debit was sent to my online bank, and I forgot that there was no money in it.

Now this bank is in a different name to my paypal and ebay account, so because I think there was no money in it, paypal came back and said that there was a problem with my account and it had been removed as it was reported to them as being `closed`.

It`s not closed, I put money in it. Used my visa to pay my invoice, now I cannot add the same bank and I need to withdraw my paypal balance.

Any thoughts.... Could I phone paypal and say that my account is open. They`d ask for the name the account is in wouldn`t they???

Only way to get the same bank account re-added is to get PayPal to manually add it.

OP - I have had success emailing to add accounts. Try that before calling.

Cheers for that. I`ll have a go at emailing them. I just hope they won`t ask me for the name the account is in.

I agree, email them, say you are getting an error message and see if ask if they can add it manually, it should be ok, depends who you get and their mood....

Right, I have emailed them but I got a standard reply giving some links to help on their site, and to reply back if I`m still having trouble.

I thought WTF, and went to my bank, and asked them to set me up with a bog standard account that I could use with Paypal. They told me, `Yeah, we get asked for them all the time, no problem`.

So I`ve setup the account for withdrawel from Paypal, only thing now is. My withdrawal is taking its time because I didn`t go through bank set up.

Now, is it ok to `complete bank setup` by setting it up for direct debits. The problem being different names on the paypal account and my bank account.

If I don`t bother completing bank setup, will it cause problems with withdrawal in the future.

How will you withdraw if you dont get the bank fully setup then?

I`ve done it. I got a bit worried that the direct debit form had my psuedo name on it. All is fine and dandy now. Think I`ll attempt to open another stealth account.

Can I use the same bank account do you think, or should I get another.....

Fundamental part of stealth is NOT to use old info so...what do you think about using the SAME bank account...should you?
