Paypal pay shipping after funds are available
 

Hi

I just created a new stealth account for paypal and ebay and sold my very first item; I sold the item for 2.25 and after paypal fees I got 1.88 in my account but to purchase shipping/print the label it costs 1.93 and I clicked the pay after funds are available option but then I will have a negative 5 cents after the funds are released to me and they collect shipping fees

I have a vanilla master card attached to the account with 20 dollars in it. Will paypal just pull the 5 cents out of there when they try to collect the shipping fees? (do not have a bank account attached)

Or should I just go to the post office and buy postage from them and not risk messing with paypal taking money from my debt card on my very first transaction.

You could just pay the entire 1.93 with the vanilla mastercard.

You should have your bank attached for situations like this especially.

The setting for billing can be unreliable at times, so it's best you got everything covered.

Buying postage at post office means you don't get the discounted rate btw.

It should say on the bottom of checkout "pay by debit card" or something similar to that.

I sometimes see it and sometimes don't....kinda weird, but when I do...I go for it! Makes shipping a lot easier.

I dont know about attaching my bank account for situations like this because when they dig the money out of my bank account arent they then able to see my actual name and stuff cause my real name and address has been suspended thats why im stealthing

and thanks i will check again to see if I can find the pay with debit card then

I would go to the post office and ship it, not worth paypal trying to withdraw .05 and figuring out its a VBA

well its not a vba I am eventually going to attach a real bank account it currently doesnt have a bank account attached to it, but I see what you are saying dont wanna risk it unnecessarily

If u have $20 on your vanilla , than the visa will be charged, so don't worry about it, as long as u have funds on your card than there should not be any problem

It will charge it automatically , when the funds are available

It will use available funds and any excess will be charged to ur vanilla

Not necessarily - PP tends to go for bank account for fees unless you physically choose the cc option...

It already happened to me twice, so I am pretty
sure this is how it works:
When i tried to print THROUGH EBAY I could not print the label because
for some reason pp made my VBA as a method of payment for shipping.
My vanilla is set as the premier payment method but still it tells me funds
could not be processed.
What I did is I went to print through paypal website directly. On the page where
you are suppose to put the weight, size etc of the package on the right side
under the amount to be paid there is an option to choose: charge paypal
account whenever money is available. Not the exact words, but you get it...
So I guess when 21 days have passed paypal would charge me for that shipping label from the money i will have in my pp account. It worked, and I was able to print the label.
