How long do you guys wait before listing your very first item?
 

I usually wait 2-3 weeks before I list anything on my ebay account but I feel I'm waiting a bit too long?

Should I be able to post things from thrift shops/yard sales after 3-4 days of starting my account? I wouldn't be posting anything risky until after 90 days most likely. Thanks , and also is important to have your paypal fully verified before listing anything? Like the whole thing, bank, vcc, phone, everything?

depends on each person, i list after a few days with no hassle
some people like to wait for a month

I usually list immediately, although the forum says it is risky. I do not sell high risk items to start off. And i list all 10 items, which the forum also says is risky. The only time I got a MC999 was when I listed iphone 4 cases. The item was not risky, but the category was risky. I got the MC999 within an hour of listing 5 generic phone cases. Called in and got it remedied fairly fast.

Have your account in as good standing as possible. So being verified is great. Having a working phone is essential and access to a return address is important.

Keep in mind you are running an eBay account. Yours just happens to be stealth. But nevertheless it is an eBay account.

Why is a working phone number so important, o_o thats hard to do cause I use google voice to verify accounts/get numbers. I don't know how to have 20 working phone numbers for 20 active stealth accounts. Plus I've never once in my life talked to an ebay/paypal employee.

Text+ app will give your smartphone another number. Won't help for 20 accounts, but hey if you are that big then invest some dough sister.

Point is you asked about being prepared and ready to sell.

I have a working phone for accounts to reduce getting caught out .

What if a buyer did a request for your info?

Sometimes calls can be generated by ebay/paypal.

Working phones are so needed.

GV is a working phone number, just like any other numbers.

Yeah I know it is but you can only have one GV number per cell phone right? Am i suppose to have 20 cell phones and all of them attached to a cell phone plan?

With a premium subscription of about $1 a month, you can have multiple accounts.
