Hi all

I have read the ebay stealth guide im comfortable with everything till we get to the paypal stuff and VCC?

Here is my confusion

From what i understand i do the usual make a paypal account under stealth details
I open up a real bank account under my real details of course.

When does the VCC come in to play and what is the main purpose?

I add a VCC to my paypal account so i can pay my ebay fees & ebay purchases as you shouldnt let paypal request money from your bank for anything..

Which bank account do you use with paypal?

After you verify a PayPal account with a bank account you can use the VCC to confirm your address. Adds to the security of the PP account.

It can also be used to pay EB fees or for buying items from EB though PayPal.

I simply pay me fees with the money already in paypal from sales

I thought though, wouldn't it be better to attach the vcc direct to ebay so you don't need to use paypal at all for the fees?

Hi guys thanks for the response okay i think i seem to understand the purpose of VCC slightly more, think i know what its purpose is for now, one question when would i be required to enter these VCC details and where can i obtain them from?

Most people use Entropay in the UK.

No you use your real info.
Entropay doesnt share info with ebay/paypal so nothing to worry about.

Okay thanks so once i go to entropay select the card i want where do i enter the details for paypal ? sorry for the stupid questions

Log into paypal and go to the Money section and add the card info there.

It will only show you the card info in entropay once you uploaded a minimum of $20 for the first card.

Okay thanks , so now when i go to ebay there is automatic option for ebay to take the fees directly from paypal, for this do i always select one time payment and use the VCC to make the transaction, thanks

Yes when you signing the agreement between ebay and paypal ( happens when you list your first item) you can choose for ebay to take the fees from entropay card.

Entropay is always made with your real ID.

You can use your debit or credit card to fund the account. Later bank transfers can be used too. (These take a couple of days to go thro').

Advantage of entropay is you fund the card with £20. Then you use say £10 to make your VCC. When that is done, you pnly need to add the numbers to your stealth paypal. You are ready to go.

You use the Entropay VCC to pay fees in advance of eB dipping into your PP funds - it's a good practice.

Is the figure £20 just an example? In EP, the minimum for me is only £5. I take it this is enough to get running?
