| | | Swizzle | 05-06-2014 12:16 PM | Is this Item on the VERO List? Well, I lost another Job and I'm getting pretty desperate. I want to start listing what I know I can sell. So that means name brand products.
So my question is this...how do I know for sure if an item is vero or not? Like, I know that I can check the vero list, and for the items I want to sell they aren't on the actual list, but I also know that all of the name brands aren't on that list. So how do you check and see if your item is VERO, because I know some name brands are not.
And...also if I didn't put the items brand name in the title of the listing or whatever, could I possibly sneak it in and get a sell? Or is there a team of people who are watching for that too? |
| unkown5454 | 05-06-2014 12:33 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? Please stop. You are in the wrong forum for the crap you continually keep asking us to help you sell.
Any brand can have you removed if they want for any reason at any time. You have no power. And no, you wont' be tricking anyone by removing the name. |

| Swizzle | 05-06-2014 04:03 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? Great people are reading and not replying because some guy framed the situation like I'm being repetitive, when in reality I'm asking a new question. That guy's perception is off.
Save your contempt for your children and your mother, I'm actually trying to get answers. If you are fed up then you need not reply. |

Ebay is not a free range company anymore.
If you are desperate for funds, ebay is NOT the place to use the last of your funds for it. Its a risk. Its a game. And the last of funds means you cannot play since they can close you down at ANY time. Then youre stuck for the 180 day game.
Anyone and anything can be Vero'd at ANYTIME for ANYTHING and you can lose it ALL.
Unknown speaks from experience of other members who ask the same thing and you will not be fooling anyone by trying to get around the system.
Perhaps a part time job until you search for more 'stable' items to sell but you are wasting not only your time, but accounts that can be used to do other things. |
| oompaloompa | 05-07-2014 06:49 AM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? lets not get too upset here, many things on ebay are branded, they are very popular items......
OP, look, vero means a couple of things on the forum, usually people think it means a fa ke, but also lets also say that it can just mean branded ie it has a rights owner. There are lists you can look up (or used to) on ebay, but not exhaustive ie. ANY brand owner can apply to have your listings removed, whether they are successful or not depends on a number of things, but as far as you are concerned, whatever branded goods you try to sell, if you do not have explicit rights owner permission there is always a chance of takedown. if you want to try and see then just know those facts......
if you do not but a brand name, then you will not get the traffic, you may get some sales though.....it is a try and test thing.....is rights ower watching this? sometimes, it depends on what it is and the rights owners methods and also any ebay member that comes across it can report it, as they may think it is dodgy that the picture shows brand but nothing in title...and once you are flagged then ebay may watch you or worse.... |

Bear in mind that ebay can pull listings AFTER they are completed. They then start a chain reaction of chaos with your account. They contact your buyers and tell fibs about you. Those buyers file claims..... see where I am going?
You may select an item to sell. You must then research completely if you can onsell it. Very often this is not the case. Dont be swayed by others selling the same items. ebay may zap those accounts.
Other point is the forum is not here to condone the selling of VeRO despite posts suggesting it is.
Be circumspect with your choices. There are consequences.

Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? There are many items that are Vero that are NOT on the list of eB...so they are risky to sell |

Trial and error imo. |

| oompaloompa | 05-08-2014 03:32 AM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? I remember seeing a list years ago, not sure if exists now, it was a link from the ebay site. |
| Swizzle | 05-08-2014 11:03 AM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? there is definitely a list, and all it takes a google search to find it, the problem is all vero comps are not on it. |
| unkown5454 | 05-08-2014 12:39 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? The list they give is literally just an example. Do not use it as actual reference and think that's all there is. |
| Swizzle | 05-08-2014 01:41 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? Said screw it and listed a used vero on my account. I made a couple of mistakes on the account anyway, so I decided to go ahead and go for broke. We'll see what happens in three days. |

Just because some brandd are not on the list doesn't mean anything. They can still remove your listing if 1. Buyer claims it's a ⊗⊗⊗⊗, 2. your competitor is going to report you. |
| Swizzle | 05-11-2014 03:15 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? Ok... so the item sold without any problem about to put up two more to see what happens. I'm still waiting on the payment though.
Also got two interviews lined up for jobs so things are looking a little better. |
| unkown5454 | 05-11-2014 09:12 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? Good. You need options. When you don't have them, you rush into everything, skipping the important parts and eventually destroying yourself.
This is why everyone here reiterates constantly to learn how to make multiple st/ealth accounts. Relying on one revenue stream is the worst thing you could possibly do when playing with EB, AZ, PP, etc. When you lose one thing, but have other options already in place, you think clearly. |

| Swizzle | 05-14-2014 02:54 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? I'm already limited on that account, limited to 10 items a month. I don't know when it happened, but yeah I'm limited. |
| emings5 | 05-14-2014 04:28 PM | Re: Is this Item on the VERO List? This might be out of the topic but I reccomend whatever you intend to sell on eBay, branded or generic doesn't matter, do not make your eBay your last chance. It is too risky for that.
I also recommend trying Amazon. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:33 PM. | |
