Ebay lifted restriction but still can't sell?
 

About 3-4 months ago my 15 year old ebay account with 100% positive feedback ($25,000/mo limit, 1000 items) was given "MC011 temporary restriction" because they "noticed some activity on my account."

Anyway I was annoyed with ebay - I didn't do anything wrong (except be successful) and paid thousands of dollars in ebay fees this year alone. I opened an account as an amazon seller, and I didn't bother to contact Ebay until recently.

I explained my story and they said they would contact me within 24-48 hours. I was not hopeful.

Anyway, I never received a response it's been about 48 hours, but today I noticed when I log into my account there is no red screen, no mention of any selling restriction - it has been dropped!

Someone has obviously changed something on my account because I've been getting this warning every time I log on since I was restricted.

However, I still cannot list items. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be hopeful that maybe my ability to list items will be reset at the end of the month?

They may have re-activated your account in order for you to buy items but your selling has still got a restriction on it.

Either way the only way to know for sure is to ask them again or read what the email they sent you says.

That's what happened 4 months ago. I could buy but not sell. No limit on my paypal account.

I email them. They don't respond, but take down warning. Yet I still can't sell.. most confusing company ever.

happened on one of my accounts 0/£0 seller limtis but can buy and paypals fine.

accounts dead move on they told me its because of to many un resolved buyer cases... funny because any on that account was always resolved within 24 hours either with a replacement or a refund. 6 month account 100 feedback buying and selling.

Odds are ONE YEAR from the original suspension or one year from the time you were not below standard you will get low selling limits.

Also you need to find out what the actual issue is. It may not have anything to do with DRS or feedback or amount of cases. Sometimes on bigger accounts(usualy when you exceed a million in annual sales) you are held to different standards on cases for example. Even if you are well within your DSR they sometimes don't like how cases are handled. Sometimes you get linked to another account with issues and a variety of reasons for this with one being competitors. Being rude(or being perceived that way) to ebay reps can cause all sorts of issues even if you don't get a notice or warning as another example. It is almost impossible to know unless you get to the correct departments in ebay.

Did you have a full 30 day review when you selling privileges were limited? How you handle things in that 30 days is more important that anything else in the past 15 years. Even one day on not logging in and replying to messages can kill an account with that department.

With receiving clear communication from them, either via chat or e-mail, I would not keep my hopes up

no need for him to keep his hopes up, this is stealth, should always have plenty of accounts in operation for times like this. Just move on bud

I agree. Embarking on journey to create new accounts starting immediately. Thanks for the advice guys.

and I know it's redundant but ebay is RIDICULOUS.
