ebay account llc/dba
 

my question is can eBay/PayPal see the actual name that my new llc/dba is filled through the state and federal government? my name was on the old as a personal account and was not set up as business account.

here is my plan

1. new ip/ clear cookies
2. new bank account/ debit card
3.new address
4.new llc/dba
5. new phone number
6. I have access to new contact name and ssn if needed in the future, but I would like to stay away from that if everything can be ran through the llc/dba

I am just concered that ebay/ paypal will look into the documents of the llc/dba and see my name on filling documets.

As long as the Business Name matches that registered with the IRS for the EIN it will work. However, I do have to warn, assuming you sell over the 20k/200 items where you get the 1099k. The 1099k will have PayPal account holders name on the document not the Business name registered on the account. Just something to be aware of.

Welcome to the forums. Try to avoid using the new ssn - llc/dba does work for many people here as vogeltron indicated

The 1099K will come to whatever Tax ID and name for the entire year even if it is converted on December 31st.

So are you saying that even if one registers with a business name and EIN
that they will still be limited by the 20k/200 items clause which would then require the 1099 form and ultimately expose there real name.


If so, whats the point going this route when you will eventually be identified?

thanks for the info guys!!! i am not concered about paying taxes, thats the easy part. just don not want to be link, since my account has been banned. if yall think it is better to set the llc up in my bussiness partners name is a better idea, i can do that sence their name is clean.

If your name on PayPal is Joe

and your real name is Peter

and you register your llc under sally's bakery

when you are issued a 1099k from paypal, it will be sent to sally's bakery's EIN, but the name on the paper will be for Joe.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter one bit as long as you're paying your dues to unc sam

so basically we can just input the EIN for the 1099k? and the name doesn't matter as long as you pay taxes? I'm assuming only one paypal account per EIN?

Definitely only use the EIN on one Paypal account. You never want to mix information like that across accounts.

so i just set up a new business bank account, which came with a debit card, can i use that card for ebay/paypal verification?

also there is alot of info on here about paypal verifying the EIN, but will Ebay dig into LLC documents?

PayPal won't care about this info, as long as they have a valid EIN to send the gross earnings to.

Thanks for the reply, another thing is, i have a good account now, and this second one are they going to ask for id, utility bill etc. i remember this from my current account account and only reason im here is because i lost amz and figuring i need to get a good backup and after handling 2 and gettjng more familiar start to make numerous backups. I have new comp., dongle, llc/ein, leg bus account, address, phone num. i think i have everything coverd. Nothing can link them except address is in same city and looking into business files

i also just got my LLC in the mail. I got EIN number too just gotta open a business bank account at BOFA.
