| MrCartay | 06-11-2014 07:17 AM | EBay stealth questions Hi all, bought the book, skim read it thus far. Will go through in more depth before making any moves.
A few things I need to know:
Do I need a separate Internet connection, as my Mrs uses her account at home too. She has previously had ebay tell her they suspect she and I of being linked. Luckily they haven't shut her down as we actually have separate PC's due to work etc. at home.
My worry is that when I change my dynamic IP with a router reboot, it will always show her as the same IP each time if she's logged in. Will this matter, especially if I'm using an account registered to next door instead?
Next, if I get a pre paid card (in the UK), does that need registering to me but at next door's address? Surely it does else in PayPal I will have to put my own address as the billing address?
Can I use the mobile app on a handset I've never used it on before, but have given ebay the phone number of in the past? |

Neither ebay nor paypal are silly.
You will be linked.
 |

 | The guide says you can use the same street though? A name variation and same street.
I won't have access to any other addresses as the only other option I had was knocked out by a linked account. I won't be selling in any volume and can wait 30 days etc. |

If both of you will be using eBay.. don't share the same anything, including IP address or risk linking your accounts. This is in the guide. If you need to use two different internet connections than do it.
You get one shot at using the app.. once you use it, it's linked to your phone's serial number which is difficult to change. Use it if you like but know it's good for only one account. You have to use the same precautions as you would with any stealth account (watch your IP address). Good luck! |

| MrCartay | 06-16-2014 06:17 PM | Re: EBay stealth questions Thanks guys.
So, how do you get a pre paid card then? If you register your own address on your stealth PayPal account, doesn't the whole thing fall apart? But the guide says you can use a made up address.
Well not if you want access to this card you don't, by the sounds of it.... |
| GreenBean | 06-16-2014 08:07 PM | Re: EBay stealth questions Look, the guide is the basis of doing stealth.
The forum, with the posts is the means to making sure the stealth works.
You never use a suspended address or a phake address.
You find somehow a real address you can access.
If you use entropay, then the numbers alone will be OK for paypal.
ebay UK has a habit of doing manual reviews of accounts.
They quickly detect reused info and phony addresses. |
| MrCartay | 06-17-2014 02:54 AM | Re: EBay stealth questions Thanks. Sorry if some questions seem silly but I want to get this right, first time.
I'll sign up for Entropay. When you say the numbers alone are OK, do you just not fill in the address part? (been a while since I went through the add a card process) |

Create a card, put funds on it and add it to Paypal.
With Entropay, the stealth address does not need to match the Entropay address for the card to be accepted on Paypal.
If you go for a pre-paid card (like 3V), this needs to be registered in the stealth name and address for it to be accepted on Paypal. |

Does anybody know if using Firefox on Android is safe? |
| GreenBean | 06-17-2014 06:58 AM | Re: EBay stealth questions If that Android has the ebay app already downloaded, you are better to not use it at all.
You can be linked. |
